Best dog “cone” ever!
My poodle had a nail bed infection and we needed to be kept from her licking her paw. This worked just as well as any plastic cone…however, it is so soft and comfortable on her. It’s like a pillow around her neck. Even when she didn’t need it anymore, she still drags it to bed and sleeps with it occasionally! 😂

Finally, a soft, comfortable collar my dog does not mind wearing.
My dog was compulsively licking the bottom of her tail making it red and sore. This soft collar has discouraged that behavior and her tail has healed.

Great for daytime (supervised) use.
PURPOSE: Spay.I purchased this donut alternative to the traditional e-cone to protect my pup (Sky) from licking her spay wound.PROS: Comfortable.Sky finds the donut much more comfortable than the plastic cone. She’s able to nap comfortably with the donut and navigate our home with her peripheral vision unhindered.CONS: The drawstring.Left unattended, Sky is able to either get her paw through the donut’s t-shirt-like neck hole or flop the donut off her neck by simply bending her neck down toward the ground. This is because to fasten the neck hole, you need to tighten it using a drawstring— it’s hard to find the right balance between “securely fastened” and “comfortable but loose.”SIZE: Runs small.Sky is a 14-pound mini schnauzer and wears a size small in the plastic e-cone. We purchased the donut in a size large and the diameter is the perfect size to block the incision site. Anything shorter would have likely exposed the site.Overall, I don’t regret my purchase since the donut keeps Sky comfortable throughout the day. At night and during other unsupervised times, I’d recommend using a plastic cone or another, more secure device.

Good product, does the job
My Labrador, Ollie, scratched his cornea with his dew claw necessitating a cone of shame. At the vet’s office we were offered two options, the standard plastic cone or another style that only prevented dogs from chewing at stitches but wouldn’t prevent them from scratching their face. He was to wear the cone for a minimum of 2 weeks, maybe more, depending on how the cornea healed. After just one night with the plastic cone I immediately started a search for something softer. Ollie sleeps in bed with us which meant the cone had to go.I ordered this style since it would prevent him from scratching his face when using his front paw.Overall our experience with this cone was very good. It worked to keep him from rubbing his eyes when using his front leg but was not big enough to prevent him from using his back paw.The softness and flexibility saved the day. Ollie is a Velcro dog - he’s never more than 3 feet from me - and my arms and legs were taking a beating from the plastic one.We washed it a couple of times and found the delicate cycle didn’t get it as clean as I wanted. My one suggestion is to make the big size with a third ring instead of the 2 it has or offer both. The third ring would be more protective. And due to its flexibility and softness the 3rd ring wouldn’t be a problem. The bonus of this cone is how cute Ollie looked wearing it- with his yellow fur and the pale blue of the cone he looked like a daisy!

To flimsy
It’s a nice collar it’s soft but it did not work for my boxer whatsoever she had growth removed from her back legs and she got them anyways that collar didn’t help her whatsoever. So it’s going back in at the get a different one.

I think my pup is smarter than me
If your dog has an above average IQ in problem solving, this is not for you. It is cute, soft, I loved the shade of blue, and it was so simple to put on her. HOWEVER, it took her all of three min to figure out how to use the couch to scrunch up the collar enough to lick at her stitches. When I told her no and went to get the old cone, she somehow figured out how to get the string through from the other side of the collar and chew off the end of the strings working towards freedom.I really wanted this to work so I can stop having a plastic cone running in to the back of my legs but no go on this one.For reference I have a 42 lb puppy and I got the largest one.

Great alternative to the cone of shame
This worked wonderfully. It doubles as a neck pillow. It doesn’t prevent drinking, eating, or sleeping. No forward facing obstruction. Pull string makes it convenient to loosen or tighten, as needed. I recommend using this style recovery collar, completely. It allows your fur-baby a stress free healing process. Use straight from the box. No inflating necessary. I would’ve given 5 stars but the pull string clasp broke. No worries. I tied a knot and it worked out. I do recommend the merchant provide an extra replacement part included in the order, for such things.

Great
I used the small size with my 2.5 kg chihuahua. It was so comfortable for him that he didn't even try to remove it. It was an extra pillow while he slept and recovered from surgery.

This is not good for keeping wounds safe
This collar although comfortable, was NOT good for protecting my dog from getting to his wounds, my dog could still easily reach his wounds and lick them which makes the collar USELESS
