I ordered this because I needed a way to keep my hip boots from getting a crease in them when they are stored. I also used this for my redwing work boots. This rack works for holding both of those boots, but just barely. I will say that it is much better than the plastic bracket you can find for $6 at Walmart. With this being metal, I do not have to worry about anything snapping / breaking in the cold.With that said, you will not be able to use this rack if you plan on hanging your winter boots, or insulated chestwader boots, or insulated knee high boots. Those boots have a much wider footprint, and this rack is just not designed for that. This is great for shoes, cowboy boots, redwing / carolina work boots, and warm weather hip boots and rain boots. This is not designed for your 1600 gram insulated knee high boots.So as long as you know that when you are ordering, I think this will work out just fine for you.

I got these for my winter wet boots, rain boots and irrigation boots. I wanted them off the ground and more out of the way in my shop.Best Idea I had all month for sure. They are out of the way and with then hung upside down stuff doesn't fall in them and or get lost like nuts or bolts falling off my work bench or sawdust getting in them when I'm working on a project.

I really don't like how the images depict the boots as being able to sit in there perfectly side-by-side when in reality they are crammed so close together that the boots push off into the other area. See my pics and look back at the digitally created ones and you can clearly see that the space to drop the boots into needs to be wider and the overall rack needs to be wider. I think the only boots that may fit in there as they show in the pictures would be small kids' boots size 8 and lower.

We set this rack up in the garage since there’s no spot in the home for a mud room. It’s a nice rack but it’s clearly not as sturdy as the old one- but it will do for a single pair of chest waders. Nice they come in a set of two (the other holds our knee height rain boots- alleviating our fear that something will crawl into them, but allowing them to hand to dry as needed.

These boot hangers are very sturdy and feel well made. The openings may be narrow for bulkier boots, but work well for boots and shoes with some flexibility to them. Great addition to my mud room area!
