UK 1960s psych-pop scarcely gets more seminal than this. The Zombies' '68 swan song is their crowning achievement, a Day-Glo, baroque-tinged masterpiece on a par with PET SOUNDS or SGT. PEPPER'S. Like the Beatles, The Zombies had left their Mersey beat sound far behind by the late '60s, pursuing instead a moodier, more sophisticated sound. Tracks include "Rose for Emily," "Friends of Mine" and "Changes", among others.

In my opinion, the greatest album ever made!
This album contains the most beautiful melodies, poetic lyrics and fantastic singing ever. Unlike other albums people cite as the best ever, there are no cringy or filler tracks on this. To me, this is a high water mark in British pop, the perfect synthesis of The Beatles, Kinks, Beach Boys and The Zombies' own vision. Hung Up On A Dream is so beautiful it almost makes me want to cry. The whole album is suffused with a melancholy beauty. And then you have Butcher's Tale, with lyrics that recall Sassoon and Owen at their best. Sorry if I'm being a bit OTT here (I'm not usually) but I strongly urge you to buy this album. You will not be disappointed. This record is genius.

The pressing on this record is absolutely fantastic. I bought it as a present for my partner and he was very impressed. It's crisp, clear and the colours are great. Packaging of this item was also brilliant and really professional. Wonderful addition to our vinyl collection!

Great 60s psychedelia
I was looking for more standout albums like Love's Forever Changes, and Ogden's Nut Gone Flake. This is certainly that. Consistently fantastic, and occasionally sublime

Poor reissue of classic album
The music is impeccable of course but this particular vinyl release is docked two stars for itβs lightweight vinyl, flimsy cardboard cover and lack of insert with recording history, personnel etc. Vinyl collectors expect more these days.
