Manuka ND Wound Dressing - 10 x 12.5cm - Pack of 10

I have Gravitational Eczema and developed an ulcer on my lower leg which was not responding to normal treatment.I have used manuka honey before (to treat dryness in my leg) and had heard of these dressings.I had used a medicated honey cream for a week before using these dressings and noticed a small improvement.There is a "for veterinary use only message" on the packaging so I was in two minds about using them on myself but decided that I must, at least, try them - as a last resort.They are very easy to use - I cut them into smaller squares and they stick to my leg over the ulcer; I then cover it with some dressing retention plaster (I use "Hypafix" which sticks well yet still comes off easily). This product is less messy than using honey or honey cream. I do this daily.After 10 days the ulcer has improved dramatically - it is not nearly as deep and has shrunk to less than half the width. It is now about the size of a 2 pence coin. I expect it to be fully healed within the next fortnight.I recommend these Kruuse Dressings because they have saved me from hospital treatment.
