Sewing With an Overlock (Singer Sewing Reference Library)

This is a great resource for any serger user/owner. Most people experience some level of "serger phobia" initially and I was no exception, however after taking a class at my local shop and owning this book and The Ultimate Serger Answer Guide I felt much more confident with using my serger and forged ahead! The "looks" are outdated for sure but the information is spot-on and very intuitive, taking the mystery and trepidation out of serging!

I had gotten this book from the local library and was glad to find it on Amazon. The price was right and book is in excellent condition. It's very thorough for anybody getting into serging and the photos are lg and really help.

Fabulous book with large detailed photos and descriptions of using a serger. Our local serger expert and instructor uses it as a teaching tool and recommends it to her students. Great find!

Nice big book. Lots of pictures explaining threading and sewing

I bought a over lock machine but needed some info on using it for more than the reason I bought it. This book tells it all! Very good pictures that make everything very clear, and it gives you a complete explanation of how to use the machine. I was extremely happy with my purchase

This book is indispensable for beginners. Wish all sergers came with this book because it tells you everything you need to know and with great color closeup pictures.

I understood that this item was new. It had library ID stickers on it with a pocket for a card from a library in Texas. The pages are ok but the cover is worn. It had 2 stickers on the back. One said New and the other said Used-Good. Disappointed.

- the book is an older version/edition to what was described - 1989 not 1995- arrived in poor condition with yellowed pages and stains/marks on the cover (I was buying NEW)- had a $14.95 sticker on the back, I paid $54.50DO NOT BUY.

the book itself was in new condition. the directions are really clear and easy to follow. it was recommended to me by my sewing teacher. I love this book. and the pictures are so realistic. if you are looking for a book about sergers. get this one

I bought this book as a "Used - good condition" paperbook from Thrift Books in Seattle. I would thoroughly recommend this company - not only did the book arrive two days earlier than estimated but it was in excellent condition - practically new.It's a fairly slim book and I've had a look through it. I don't know much about overlockers (which is why I bought the book) but I was most heartened to see that it shows, with very clear photos, what happens when you don't set the machine up right and explains how to put it right.I think this is going to come in very useful and would thoroughly recommend it.
