very good product
Good for antistat and sound is a bit more clear in high and midd register without loss of bass.Very small minor is the slip when cleaning a record with a carbon brush. (just don't press to hard)

Costly but effective
I have always experimented with different turntable platter mats with varying success. I had already bought a Funk Firm Achromat 5mm for my Audio Technica AT-LP5 turntable which has improved its sound quality significantly. I bought this machine lip version for my Reloop RP-7000 Mk2 record deck, which coupled with a Premium Quality disc stabilizer, has also improved its performance. Surface noise and record blemishes from records are reduced, fine detail is better focused and realized, bass frequencies are tightened up and treble instruments sound cleaner. It is expensive and it depends on whether the turntable you use is worth tweaking, but it has proved to a very worthwhile tweak on the turntables I use. Recommended.

Poor quality
This mat doesn't lay flat on the platter. When I play a record the tonearm/cartridge is constantly going up and down. The difference is over 1mm.I haven't managed to glue the mat to the platter using double sided adhesive pads provided, they are not strong enough. Returned.

This does change your sound. You dont have to listen very hard to pick out the difference
I had my doubts but took the plunge based on reviews. Now im a believer. The mat cleaned up my sound. Definition of bass and low mids was pretty obvious. For me i can now define the beginning and end of these notes and passages with improved clarity. Yes my music sounds better.

Really great... I think
It's so hard to tell exactly what this product does as a/bing is hard and it was never going to be night and day. What I can tell you is that my 1210s have definately never sounded better and more detailed. They look great too so I am pleased with the purchase even if to the naked eye these seem ridiculously expensive.

This will improve your sound
I thought long and hard before buying this for my Technics 1210 (my Christmas present) as there are other cheaper options available, however after reading several reviews mainly on Hi-Fi forums I decided to give it a go. When it arrived (well packaged in a cardboard sleeve and padded bag) it didn't look that impressive although well made from a quite firm foam/plastic, but as soon as I was able to put it on my deck (after Christmas Day obviously!) it was immediately obvious that it had improved the clarity of the music and to my ears had improved the midrange and tightened the bass. Very pleased with this product and supplier.

Poor quality
I bought one of these as a replacement for the stock rubber mat on my Technics SL-1200GR. When I received the item, I realised it wasn't perfectly flat or perfectly round: two essential characteristics of a turntable mat, I would have thought.I e-mailed the manufacturer (Funk Firm), who told me that I could send the mat to them and get a replacement, but due to the nature of the material they are made of (foamed PVC), they couldn't guarantee that the mats would be flat and round, or retain their shape over time.I sent the mat to them, recorded delivery, but have not received a replacement. I have e-mailed them a couple of times, but apparently they are very busy and sending me a replacement not a priority. I am not sure at this point, whether or not I will see my money or a replacement mat again.
