This product is a very nice gift, worth the value

I've had a couple of nasty surprises here recently with pendants that meet the same very loose description - about in inch long and wide, give or take, sterling or plated sterling, involving birth stones or oceanic-colored crystals, and frequently hearts, mom-related shapes, or compasses. The nasty surprise has been that the chain is not actually sterling silver (based on magnet testing). In this case, we had NO nasty surprises. The magnet reacts to the clasp, which is fine and entirely normal because the mechanism itself should *not* be made of sterling (not strong enough to do the job), but the rest just lays there and laughs like real sterling should. It has a 925 tag, but so did some of the others that failed miserably - hence the extra testing. In this case, the tag does not lie.It comes in a nice hinge box that's approximately the teal color of a jeweler you've all heard of, branded with this company's name. It's a little darker and a little greener, but close enough to trip the neurons to make the association. There's a big ol' sticker on the back, and if you pull it off, you're either going to mar the - well, you're GOING to rip the box itself, so they need to quit with that nonsense right now. It really brings down the look to have a bar code sticker every bit as big as that side of the box that you can't take off without destroying said box. That's a fail.The inside is velvet and the inside comes kind of saran-wrapped down so it doesn't move. You'll probably want to remove that before in-person gift presentation, but for shipping it's actually not bad at all - again, keeps things where they belong, is clear, and comes off with no issues. I want a roll of that stuff for my own household use. (It's not actual cling film - it's thicker and obviously not as wide. It's like that stuff movers use, but again in tiny tiny format, like 2" wide.)The piece itself is very pretty. I got it in garnet and tourmaline, so red and pink, which looks just perfect with the pearl shell and CZ to make a kind of bougie Valentine-themed piece, which is why I got it. I mean - Oct is my birthday, sure, but I don't claim tourmaline. It's opal and always will be. For the purpose I'm using it for, though, it's perfect. (And also the pendant is not magnetic. That hasn't been a problem on others so far, either, though, but I do always test so I can report the results one way or the other.)All told, I like it. If I were a more heart-type person, it would be nice enough and well enough made to be an everyday or near-everyday piece, so if that's what you're looking for, you'll be fine, too.

Even though this is a plated item it has not shown any corrosion or where to the plating and I have been wearing it every day. I would advise not getting it wet or exposing it to harsh chemicals as it is a plated item not a solid gold item. The chain is lightweight and sturdy and there are no flaws to the links , The length is about 18 inches with an extender chain. The clasp does up securely so you will not lose this necklace. It is small enough to be extremely elegant and dainty yet large enough to be a statement piece that is very eye-catching. It seems to be very good quality and the plating is flawless. The cubic zirconias are bright and shiny and the detailed stars and moon are clear and crisply cut out. This is a beautiful piece that would make a wonderful gift for anyone as it is presented in a lovely velvet line box. I would definitely recommend this high quality and affordable necklace.

This pendant is very elegant. Catches the light and sparkles quite nicely, the central Stone is clear and very rich color. Dependent itself is not too heavy, and can be worn either casual or and more formal settings. The included chain is sufficient, you could always change it to another if you prefer. I am pleased with this product.
