Go Away, Big Green Monster!

As a preschool teacher I used this book to talk about imaginary monsters with my students. Some were afraid with the run up to Halloween so I made a puppet of the monster and we used it to read the story, first building up and then making the monster go away! The children loved shouting at the monster to go away and then understanding they can make it come back whenever they wanted to play monster games. The puppet was a big success and lots of laughs were had.

Fun book for kids. Very interactive, allows kids to as questions.

My 4 year old can tell the story by herself. She thinks it is fun to let the monster appear then tell him to go away.

Livro incrível, mas cuidado com crianças pequenas pois as folhas são muito finas. Minha filha brinca com esse livro desde 1 ano, pois não consegui esconder dela, e ela o ama. Como tem usado bastante e as páginas são finas, já rasgou uma página. Sugiro comprar para crianças maiores, que consigam manipular páginas frágeis.

Die Schüler:innen lieben das Buch und verinnerlichen innerhalb kürzester Zeit die Phrasen und können diese dann mitsprechen. Gut zum Üben der Farben und Gesichtsteile, lässt viel Platz für weiterführende Übungen. Sogar meiner 2-jährigen Tochter macht das Buch richtig Spaß!
