Since 2004, This Will Destroy You has been forging some of the world's most brutal, dynamic, and precariously visceral instrumental rock. In addition to a vigorous tour schedule, their celebrated discography and critically renowned soundtrack work for feature films and documentaries have earned them a sizable and fervent international following. Another Language, TWDY's fourth full length LP, marks their euphonious return from a prolonged vacuous dark period that threatened to break both the band and the members themselves. Rather than be stifled by their experience TWDY were atomized and subsequently made anew, emerging with a revived energy and reinforced sense of solidarity. As a result, Another Language captures the band at its most potent, honed, and utterly powerful form yet, displaying an edified unity and graduated sense of song-writing, tonal complexity, and studio prowess.

This Will Destroy You reach maturity
This album for me is when This Will Destroy You reached maturity. I loved the structure of the tracks on their first two albums, Young Mountain and This Will Destroy You and played them over and over again. I'd never heard anything quite like it. At the time I could not envisage how they would be able to develop their sound and felt that the band had lost their way a little on Tunnel Blanket. Their musicianship had developed but they did not seem to know what to do with it.With this new album it feels to me that they have reached a new level. The tracks interlink to produce a developing picture, like a concept album but without words. The music forms a rich and vivid soundscape, constantly changing yet returning to earlier patterns. They may well have reached their peak with this album, who knows? Only time will tell. But if they have it is well worth it.

Emotional and moving masterpiece of an album
I bought 'Another Language' soon after its release and have listened to it dozens and dozens of time since then. I've listened to it while driving in the car, at home in the morning, at work and on and on. It's one of those albums that has worked its way into that category of albums that most avid music fans have - albums that we can't imagine not having in our lives. That's how strongly how I feel about this one. This album can be best described as a perfect blend of post-rock and ambient. What I hear primarily are keyboards and guitar that are seamlessly blended together and almost indistinguishable much of the time paired up with more traditional drums that provide some rhythm and weight here and there. The mood is mostly tranquil and meditative, but there are a few little climactic moments throughout.

Just listen to "Invitation" and then buy the album for more great music
I have listened to this album start to finish everyday since the day I purchased it here on Amazon. This album puts my mind in a state of focus that allows me to knock out difficult problems with ease. My playlist includes Another Language, S/T and then Young Mountain in that order. After the playlist completes I am out of my trance and the work is done. Another Language has dethroned Caspian's Waking Season. I am sincerely thankful for the music that this band puts out and the quality of each track. It is uplifting, energetic, soft when it needs to be and inspirational.Side story - I host some gatherings at my house from time to time and I need to put on some music that isn't heavy vocals. I usually put on TWDY and everyone comments and questions what kind of music it is. Great stuff, keep it up, hope to meet you all someday.

It's a winner .
This is a great album . A big turn from " Tunnel Blanket" which is one of their darker albums . Very much like a mix of the first two albums .. Highly recommended .

Post rock album of the year
This Will Destroy you has churned out 2014's post rock album of the year, adding elements of shoegaze and metal to their dynamic instrumental sound.Although it should be noted that this is NOT on Secretly Canadian at all. They're on Suicide Squeeze. You can see it on the picture of the back of the package. Get it together, Amazon.
