The rubber stopper is ANNOYING!!
The grinder on a whole is wonderful, however the rubber stopper is a joke and doesn’t stay in place! Seems like an obvious design flaw.

It’s all everyone says it is and more.
I didn’t expect to love this grinder as much as I do. At first glance I thought I’d made a mistake ordering this “tool”. Only took a couple times using it to completely change my mind. I knew the grind was important when making coffee. I just didn’t realize how much a difference it makes. It’s heavy duty so I wouldn’t bring it backpacking as it’s too bulky for that. But it’s perfect for home use and traveling. It comes with a good quality travel bag with strap and cleaning utensils. It’s very easy to adjust grinds for different forms of coffee-making. It allows you to customize the grind to your own taste. Takes a bit of effort for the finest grind but it’s worth it if you’re in the mood for flavorful espresso. I’ve tried many different grinders and have never been completely satisfied. I’m very happy with this one. Looking forward to many years with this beefy tool. Highly recommend this. Worth the money and the extra time to grind your own beans in a quality grinder.

After a ton of research...
This is the one I picked. The plastic housing for unground beans is too wide for my hand and it gets really fatiguing to grind 35g. The screw holes between the grip area and the top also grind by thumb.Grinding 35 grams takes far longer than I'd have expected and I'm not sure the grinds are as consistent as I was lead to believe. It holds about 65 grams total so you've got to throw a few more grams on top if you want to brew a liter. The good- it holds a decent amount, the stainless reservoir is nice (original model was plastic), the handle is nice, the plug on top is a nice touch.Overall, I'd have spent more on a product that grinds faster or at least one that isn't as hard to hold.

This grinder is incredible. The customer service is too!
I purchased this grinder about 3 months ago and absolutely love it. Like many I mistakenly started with the $30 - $80 grinders and I wish I would have just started with this. Quality is impeccable, the grind is even and consistent, and the customer service is amazing! Don't waste your money on cheaper grinders get this and get it once. I went with the Lido 3 and not the Lido 3 ET because I have a Virtuoso for my espresso. For my pour over coffee (V60, wave, aeropress, etc.) I use this. Can't say enough good things about this grinder. Simply fantastic! BTW, I just traveled with it overseas and I stowed it in my carry on backpack. Super easy and very pack-able. It is hefty but I appreciate the quality.

Look elsewhere. Broken after 13 months.
I would steer clear of this grinder. I bought it 13 months ago and the spring in the crank handle has just given out. Like the other reviewers, this means the handle constantly folds into the travel position when I'm trying to grind. Pretty disappointing for such an expensive grinder to break after 13 months. Before that the grind was consistent and easy to adjust, but with it breaking so early I can't give it anything but 1 star.

The top lid doesn't secure
I have been using this grinder every morning for the past 3 years. Here is my one gripe:Why did they design this with a top lid that doesn't actually secure on? It is a piece of rubber that simply "rests" on the top of the grinder. While grinding, it will come flying off and land in your sink or on a random kitchen surface. To avoid this, I have been grinding with no lid on. Inevitably a coffee bean or bean shard will come flying out the top during the course of grinding. Is the expectation that the grinder remains perfectly still and vertical during a grinding session? Surely not. But why else would the designers not consider an open top to the grinder to be a problem worth addressing? These are the mysteries that I ponder every morning while grinding my coffee. Maybe they'll solve it in a future model.

Had high hopes, only to be ignored
I had been watching the roll out and launch of this product for years. Thought that for the 200$ price tag I’d be upgrading from the skerton. In terms of grind quality it is better, but there is one fatal flaw, the stow away handle doesn’t stay extended while grinding!Which at first didn’t seem like a big deal, until it happens every 10 spins at 6 o’clock in the morning while all I want is a smooth morning.I did write them directly with a email I found on there website giving them a chance to respond before putting it on here, but I guess they are too busy over there. So for the time being, until I figure out a way to modify my band new grinder, I’ll have a 200$ paper weight.Go with the comandante or something else.

Updated lido3!
They updated the product to include the stainless steel canister, and removed the 3 from the labeling. They seem like worthwhile upgrades. What I'm worried about is the handle is plastic and is close to the metal so when you're spinning the handle the plastic bit seems to wear down. It reminds me of a joystick on a controller and the base is grinded down. I'm hoping there's a point where it stops wearing down, and doesn't require a replacement part later down the line.
