Waste of money
The media could not be loaded. Very lightweight. The water leaked a lot through the bottom during my first attempt to make a smoothie. I'm getting a refund.

Bit fiddly and lightweight but does the job very well
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this blender as I wanted something a bit more substantial than the stick blender I normally use.On opening it, I was surprised at how lightweight it is. The base isn't very heavy and is made of plastic - in one way that's a good thing but I was expecting something that I thought would be heavier and sturdier in use. Once I used the blender though I found that it didn't move at all in use, even on the highest speed setting (2).I used the blender to blitz a soup that I had made. The pieces of vegetable were soft and small, cubes less than an inch in size. The blender did a brilliant job of making my soup. I had to do it in two batches because I'd made enough soup for 8 people but that really wasn't a problem - I just used a ladle to transfer the veg and liquid into the blender. It's advertised as only being 1 litre capacity so not something I can complain about. It was fiddly to get the jug into the right position, and it doesn't really click once in place. The instructions say that the blender won't work if the jug isn't properly in place so I assumed that once I'd slotted and twisted it as far as I could make it, and the blades worked, it was obviously in place.Getting the lid into place was similarly tricky - the plastic centre piece goes round and round without tightening/stopping but it does seem to stay in place when using. I blended the soup on speed setting 2 (the highest) and it whizzed it to a smooth consistency in less than 20 seconds with no missed food at the bottom or sides.Cleaning the jug was really simple, I just washed it up as usual. So overall, I would recommend the blender as it certainly does the job. But if you want something more heavyweight or with a larger capacity, you may wish to consider a different model.

Good
Can be a bit fiddly getting the jug to lock into place for it to work, but other than that love the colour and it serves it's purpose.

Faulty jug fitting
This blender would be acceptable for the price except for the problem that the jug leaks because it does not follow the screw thread to fit vertically over the base. This must also impact on blending power because it's not directly balanced over the motor.

Looks OK Ideal for light use only
Jug Blender, Cosicosy Juice Blender with 1L BPA Free Jar, 500WThe blender looks nice, with its eau-de-nil green colour. The listing describes the blender as 'With a 1L large capacity , this blender for kitchen can meet a family of 4-5 people's needs in one cooking', which is an exaggeration. Whilst it is 1 litre capacity, 1 litre is smaller than many blenders available, and certainly not likely to meet a family's needs in one go.It should be realised that this is a cheap blender and has some limitations:The blades are rather small, which means that this might give a problem actually stirring the contents around to cut and blend. Do not overload the jug all at once. The pictures show a jug full of fruit or whatever. It might hold that amount, but it certainly won't blend all that together if the jug is loaded like that and the blender switched on.If using some liquid as a base (such as milk), the start the blender with just the liquid in, then drop the fruit or whatever in a bit of a time, giving each piece time to break up before adding the next one.Using ice cubes. I've leaned from experience that ice cubes can be a problem in a blender. Never use whole ice cubes in a blender with a plastic jug, the jug can be easily damaged. Don't just drop ice cubes into the blender, the ice cubes will probably freeze to the blades. Even if they don't, the blades won't cut through a pile of them. As with fruit above, start the blender with some liquid, then dop an ice cube in, allowing it to break up before adding another. This blender is probably best for occasional light use,
