Wonderful dark fantasy story. The book has many colorful illustrations. Your kids will just love it as mine did. It is recommended.

An enchanting story, full of intrigue into the mysterious world of fairies and other small folk. The author entices you to read more and with his beautiful drawings brings the story to life making you wonder that may be they exist. 😊

Bought book 2 in a charity shop. Decided to track down the rest of the set. This was a good start. My six year old grandson has LOVED this series.

I've seen the movie a zillion times thanks to my sister, and was rather curious about the book. What I didn't realise (but should have) is that what occurs within the movie occurs across more than book one, looking forward to reading further when I get the books via the library or on sale.The illustrations were a nice touch and add to the tale unfolding.

What a lovely introductional story is, setting up the world will and leaving a lot of intrigue. Definitely recommend for young readers.

A good read left you wanting more. Believable characters even the fantasy ones. Shame it was a little bit short. Lovely illustrations.

Read these books when I worked at a library. Got my grand daughter interested, she took it to Arkansas. Had to replace it.
