An underrated gem
This is a great lock! Allow me to put this exclamatory remark in context--I've used all manner of radio-based locks during the past 10 years ranging from acceptable to absolute junk. I won't disparage the big names, but I've had locks with "always on" radios that will have you changing batteries biweekly, locks that stop working for no reason at all, print locks that "recognize" nobody and everybody, locks that are "easy" to program, and locks that look like they should work but never do.In a sea of misfits, I've finally found my sweet spot! It's intuitive to program, looks pretty, and actually does what it's intended to do. ✨ Superlatives aside, if you are looking for a fingerprint lock this is the one. It's easy to setup and install, day to day performance is great, battery life is outstanding, and it just works, no surprises. Strongly recommended over any competing print lock!

High technology
It's easy for me to install. It's very solid. As long as there's a battery, it works for me. I don't need to look for the key. The door was locked as soon as I closed it. This is a product of impressive quality. The effect is very good and very powerful. Love that it locks the door automatically.

Takes some getting used too
I recently installed a **Smart Keypad Door Lock with Knob** that features **keyless entry, fingerprint biometric access, and a code lock system** for my front door, and it has really streamlined how I access my home. Here's my experience with this high-tech door lock, including some installation tips and maintenance considerations.### **Design and Build**The first thing that stood out to me was the **sleek and modern design** of the lock. The combination of the **keypad** and the **biometric fingerprint scanner** gives it a clean, futuristic look that fits in well with any home exterior. The **door handle** feels sturdy and well-built, with a good weight to it. The materials used in the lock feel durable, and the system overall gives off a high-quality vibe. The lock also includes a **deadlocking system**, which provides an added layer of security compared to traditional locks. I feel more secure knowing that it automatically deadlocks once the door is closed, reducing the chances of someone tampering with the lock from the outside.### **Installation**The installation process was surprisingly simple, even though I expected a bit of a learning curve due to the advanced features. Here’s how I went about it:1. **Remove Old Hardware**: If you’re replacing an existing lock, you’ll need to remove the old knob and lock system. This part was straightforward, as the instructions for both removing the old lock and installing the new one were clear.2. **Installing the New Lock**: The **Smart Keypad Door Lock with Knob** came with all the necessary hardware, including the screws, strike plate, and mounting pieces. Once I had the old lock removed, attaching the new lock and knob took about 20 minutes. I just needed a screwdriver, and the process didn’t require any complicated wiring since the lock operates on batteries.3. **Setting Up the Keypad and Fingerprint Scanner**: After physically installing the lock, programming the **keypad code** and **fingerprint access** was easy. The instructions walked me through setting up my personal entry code and adding my fingerprint to the biometric scanner. It supports multiple user codes and fingerprints, which is great if you have multiple people accessing the house.4. **Deadlocking System**: The **deadlock mechanism** engages automatically when the door is closed, adding an extra layer of security. I didn’t have to do anything special to enable this feature, which was a nice touch.### **Key Features and Performance**- **Keyless Entry**: Having a **keyless entry system** has been incredibly convenient. I don’t need to fumble for keys anymore—especially when my hands are full. The **backlit keypad** makes it easy to see and use at night, and the **fingerprint scanner** works quickly and accurately. My fingerprints were recognized almost immediately, and the system rarely requires a second scan.- **Biometric Fingerprint Access**: The fingerprint scanner has been the biggest perk for me. It’s quick, reliable, and ensures only approved people can access the house. It can store multiple fingerprints, so everyone in the household can have access without needing a physical key or sharing a code.- **Digital Code Lock**: The **digital keypad** allows you to set multiple codes, which is great if you have guests or service people who need temporary access. You can change the codes easily, so there’s no concern about someone retaining long-term access.- **Deadlocking System**: The **deadlock** automatically engages once the door is shut, providing an added sense of security. This means no more worrying about whether you remembered to lock the door—it's done for you.- **Battery-Powered**: The lock runs on standard batteries, which are easy to install. So far, the battery life has been excellent. There’s also a **low-battery indicator**, so you get plenty of warning before the batteries need to be changed. In case the battery does die, there’s a physical key backup, which is a nice security feature.### **Security**I’ve been really impressed with the **security features** of this smart lock. The **deadlock mechanism** is reassuring, and the combination of **keyless entry, fingerprint access, and code locking** makes it feel much more secure than a traditional lock and key system. The **auto-locking feature** after a set period ensures that the door stays locked, even if I forget to manually lock it, which is a great feature for peace of mind.### **Challenges**- **Fingerprint Accuracy**: While the fingerprint scanner is generally accurate, there have been a couple of times when it didn’t recognize my fingerprint on the first try. This has only happened a handful of times, and it usually works perfectly on the second attempt. If your hands are wet or dirty, the scanner might have trouble, so it’s good to also set a **backup code**.- **Battery Life**: Although the battery life is good, it’s important to keep an eye on the **low-battery indicator**. If the battery dies, you’ll have to use the physical key to gain access until you replace the batteries, which can be inconvenient. That said, I appreciate the lock's warning system that alerts me well in advance of the batteries running out.- **Weather Sensitivity**: I live in an area with fluctuating weather, and while the lock has held up so far, I’m curious to see how it performs in extreme cold or heat. There’s some concern about whether extreme temperatures might affect the fingerprint scanner's sensitivity, though so far, it’s been reliable.### **Maintenance**- **Battery Replacement**: The **battery compartment** is easy to access, and replacing the batteries is a quick process. It’s important to check the low-battery indicator regularly and change the batteries as soon as it’s alerted.- **Cleaning the Fingerprint Scanner**: Occasionally, I wipe down the **fingerprint scanner** with a soft cloth to keep it functioning properly. Fingerprints and dirt can accumulate over time, which might impact accuracy.- **Lubricating the Lock Mechanism**: As with any lock, it’s a good idea to occasionally **lubricate the locking mechanism** to ensure smooth operation. I use a light spray of lock lubricant once every few months to keep things working smoothly.### **Pros**- **Keyless entry**: No more worrying about carrying keys; the keypad and fingerprint access make entry easy.- **Fingerprint scanner**: Provides quick, secure access and stores multiple fingerprints.- **Deadlocking system**: Automatically locks when the door is shut, adding an extra layer of security.- **Easy installation**: Straightforward to install and program.- **Low battery warning**: Alerts you in advance to replace batteries.- **Backlit keypad**: Convenient for nighttime use.### **Cons**- **Occasional fingerprint misreads**: The scanner might not always recognize your fingerprint on the first try, especially if your fingers are dirty or wet.- **Battery dependency**: You need to stay on top of battery replacements to avoid getting locked out, though there’s a key backup.- **Weather impact**: Possible sensitivity issues in extreme weather, but no major problems so far.### **Final Thoughts**The **Smart Keypad Door Lock with Knob** is a fantastic addition to my home. It combines **security, convenience, and modern technology** into one sleek device. The **keyless entry** and **fingerprint access** make everyday life easier, while the **deadlocking system** provides peace of mind. While there are occasional hiccups with the fingerprint scanner, the overall reliability and security features make this smart lock well worth the investment. If you’re looking for a secure, hassle-free way to access your home, I’d highly recommend this lock!

Caution!! Locked Out of Room!!!!
First of all, Customer Service was very responsive and great to deal with. They offered to provide a replacement and a full refund for the damaged locking door knob. However, the product failed and locked me out of a room without windows. The electronics would not unlock the door, nor would the key unlock the door. I had to, at the instructions of the vendor, beat it with a hammer to knock it off the door and tear it down to gain access to the inside of the knob assembly. Which finally opened the door; it took about 1-hour and a lot of sweat! The door was slightly damaged, but can be repaired with paint and putty. If you choose to use an electronic device as a lock, DON’T! You will be locked out sometime in the future and you will have to cut through drywall or bang it off with a hammer.

Works perfect
The door knob is well made and works as advertised. Installation was easy and took less than 10 mins. Batteries are not included and would be my only complaint.

Easy to install
I needed a new door lock which was easy for my kids to use. Also easy for me to use because I inevitably put my keys in the pocket I cannot access.I was pleased with the ease of installation. It only took a few minutes. It fit perfectly into the opening where my current knob was.I also feel the price was fair for the convenience. It's extremely well packaged.Thw app is user friendly and intuative.

Easy to Install and Setup.
Easy to install in place of an existing door knob. A template is also provided for new doors. The auto lock time is programmable up to one minute. Sends a log of who unlocked the door and at what time. Downloads when in range of the knob. Keypad buttons do not have to be pressed, just touched. Unlocked the door from my phone, added a fingerprint and setup a Pin in less than 10 minutes after it was installed.

Worked great for 4 months
Edit: I reached out to the manufacturer via email and they promptly replied to let me know that they no longer sold the specific one I bought, but did issue me a full refund. The knob worked fine for the first 4 month (although it is weird that the key does not unlock the manual lock). Today when going into our house for the 5th or 6th time that day it just stopped working. We could no longer get it even when it said unlocked. The knob would turn but not open. Luckily my daughter was in her room and was able to come open the door for me! I emailed the company, we will see if they fix the issue.
