Quality little emrgency radio
The product arrived when scheduled (just received yesterday). I was initially surprised how small it was but after going through all the features, this seems to be really nice. Bright flashlight and room light, radio found the neareast weather channel quickly, digitial clock was easy to set and see, charging port works well, hand crank works, and USB port charges the phone. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to change from AM to PM on the clock. I may have missed it in the directions so I'll check again.

A definite necessity.
This is a MUST HAVE In every home south of VA! I bought one for my daughter when she moved to FL.I bought one for my son when he moved to NC. I paid half the price for the second one. This is somultifaceted. And the crank is fun to use. I paid nearly $87 for the first one. Best investment and aPERFECT Christmas gift,

Handheld radio
At the purchasing a few items for my sons camping experience along with my grandson I was disappointed in the backpack and that the material that held the straps together just came apart before it even went on the camping trip so it has to be in order to hold together, but the radio was perfect I tested it and still was receiving some warnings of the climate here in South Carolina for the hurricanes that hit us in North Carolina excellent equipment still a little bit ichip materials

Purchased this for emergencies
Small lightweight. Fits in our emergency box in the garage. Light in front is sufficient, as well, the light under the solar panel (when it is lifted) works well too.

Sturdy but Static
Pros:Sturdy constructionDigital push button tuning (I had a non digital one with a tuning knob and it got very tight)Scans to preset up to 35 stationsEasy use of buttonsEasy to see displayBright flashlightHas 3 modes - completely off, time display only, and radio on(Reading light comes on in all 3 modes when solar panel is flipped up)Cons:Reception not great with static on all stations on FM, AM and weather bands.Very short strap that needed to be partially detached to fully expose solar panel.Reading light comes on as soon as the solar panel is opened/flipped up even part way. (There should be a separate on/off button for the reading light. That would allow for the solar panel to be tilted toward the sun when it's not directly overhead without the battery being used to power the light. As it is now, the entire radio would need to be tilted, which could make it unstable.)Can't set/choose your own preset stationsDoesn't have the choice of using replaceable batteries as a power source. This would work in an emergency and I would be grateful to have it rather than not, but the static is annoying, although less at times, and I would like the option to power it with replaceable batteries so I may be looking for an emergency radio with better reception and the battery option. I gave it 4 stars because I like most of the features, but the cons are important ones.
