The hole on the bail is small and works for earrings. A necklace won’t fit through the hole and you’ll need to add a jump ring if you use it.

Cheap product so not totally shocked by this. If you're simply looking for a few inexpensive bails for crafty projects, I suppose these are perfectly fine. If you need a better quality (sterling silver plated, as advertised) and/or larger quantity (100pc advertised), keep searching - no way these are sterling plated and I only received ~20 usable pieces. (Side note: there were no signs of damage during shipping; the seller clearly sent them in this condition)
