Not waterproof
The item is sold for a boat but the instructions say not to be used in wet conditions and not very strong I had to pay £10.59p return postage and still haven’t received my refund for both payment and postageI will contact Amazon ASAPJohn Rowan

Saves your back!!
I have a steep hill down from where I keep my kayaks to the lake shore, so getting the kayaks down is easy BUT having to drag them back up the hill after hours of kayaking was absolutely exhausting! Insert this life (and back) saving winch! I ended up attaching it to a tree near my garage and use it to pull my two kayaks up the hill. GENIOUS! The winch easily handles the weight of the two kayaks and it's little to no effort on my end to crank both up. Now the only challenge is remembering to bring the hook down with me when I carry the kayaks down!
