Eddie Campbell's Omnibox: The Complete Alec and Bacchus

It's great to have Bacchus, and Alec, collected in the same place at last. Mr Campbell's work is a joy, in many ways. If you've read "From Hell", you'll be interested to see his line art in a lighter form, with more room to breath (as much as I loved From Hell, it is a dark, dark book). I probably managed to read about half of Bacchus in individual issues, over twenty or so years, and it's a joy to sink into the whole tale. Strangely, though, it's the episodic, meandering story of Alec that really dragged me in - most be something to do with the title character's strange resemblance to a talented Scottish scrote named Eddie.
