Best there is
A compact bottle that lasts a very long time. Highly recommended

Pleasant enough, but not very long lasting
Tried this thinking it would be good for longer trips overseas, in other words it would pack small and last a (really) long time. The tube actually lasted ten days, used once a day, which was less than I expected from an "ultra concentrate" and about the same as I get from any other shower gel. So no great performance boost, and not much of a black pepper scent either, meaning that I won't be buying this again.

Concentrated, but not economical
Like many people, I shower daily but I don’t normally pay much attention to what shower gel I use. Normally it’s an own-brand or a branded product from a discount retailer, but I don’t think much about it besides checking out what’s on offer. I wasn’t familiar with men-ü prior to receiving this bottle to test, though I have since noticed a salon in town which I assume is affiliated. If you look at the ingredients of a regular shower gel, you’ll normally see aqua (water) listed first. The main selling point of this product is that it’s more concentrated than usual. This means that you use less and still get the same results. As you can hopefully see from the attached photo, it still lists aqua as the main ingredient, but I assume there’s less here than usual. According to the product description, this 500ml bottle is equivalent to 2 litres of ordinary shower gel. I’ll comment more on value later, but first my experience of using it.The instructions advise pumping ‘up to 1 shot’ into your palm. I don’t know exactly how they measure a shot, but I generally go for a little extra – one good pump and then a bit more for luck – and use two lots of that over the course of a shower. This is possible a bit more than necessary as it does lather quite well and, when I have made a conscious effort to use a bit less, I’ve not really had any problem.I don’t think it smells too strongly, though it is slightly peppery. My girlfriend has said that she likes it straight after a shower. It’s probably not a scent that I’d usually choose, but it’s certainly not unpleasant. And I’ve no complaints about cleaning – at least, I’ve not heard anyone else complaining! I’ve been using it over February and a cold March though, so it hasn’t had to deal with a lot of sweat or anything. How well is it lasting? Unfortunately I didn’t take note of how full the bottle was at the start, so I can’t say exactly how much I’ve used. I’d guess I’ve used about a third so far, which means it’s probably on course to last 4-5 months. This is a bit less than the manufacturers claim (6 months), but I’ve probably been using a little more than necessary, especially early on, so that’s to be expected. I’m not sure how easy it will be to get the last few bits out the bottle with the pump, but it will be some time before I can really comment on that.Overall, then, I’m satisfied that it cleans as well as other brands that I’ve used and that it does last longer than other, less concentrated, products. However, I don’t see anything to recommend it besides the concentration and this isn’t sufficiently concentrated to make it an economical choice in my opinion.Let’s assume the manufacturers are correct that this is equivalent to 2 litres of other shower gels. With the cheaper products I normally use, that could cost between around £4 (on special offer) and £12 (eight 250ml bottles at £1.50 each). At the recommended retail price, this costs at least twice as much and I don’t see that it has any particular advantage unless, for instance, you were travelling and wanting to carry plenty of shower gel with you.I’ll be using this for another couple of months at least – until it runs out – but I’ll be going back to my usual brands once I finish this bottle.

Good but not significantly more amazing than other standard shower gels available
Mixed feelings about this one. My partner and I tried this first and gave his opinion, and then I tried it too..... the scent is light and not overly masculine so I wasn’t concerned about going to work smelling like a man! In my opinion the scent reminded me of the old-fashioned Radox bath from when I was a kid..... before there were a million different varieties and scents, and when there was just the one dark green bottle that claimed to contain a secret blend of herbs and minerals.......?If you’re old enough to remember that, and what it smelt of, then that’s what this reminds me of.Yes, it’s a nice big bottle, clean and simple pump dispenser.Says you don’t need to use as much as standard shower gels because it’s so concentrated, but I used about 3 pumps which equates to the same amount I would usually use. Also says it produces a much thicker foam that lasts longer........ under the shower, I found the foam disappeared as quickly as my usual product, if I stepped aside from the water spray as I scrubbed with it, then yes, the foam did seem denser than usual and did seem to last on my skin longer as I carried on scrubbing the whole of my body, but I’m someone who prefers to be under the water for the whole shower; I get cold otherwise....... so in conclusion, we tried this shower gel because we were intrigued to see if it was significantly better than our usual product and I didn’t think it was.My other half has always insisted nothing foams up better than Nivea Men’s shower gel, and after trying this men-ü, still insists Nivea is the best.

Don't think I could stick witht he fragrance until the bottle is done!
I have used this shower gel for about ten days or so now, and, to be quite honest, I'm really not sure if I can recommend it or not.It does have a slightly unusual fragrance, not unpleasant, but not particularly pleasant either, and I found that it became rather annoying as the day wore on, after an early morning shower. To me, it's simply not a "clean" smell, and I feel like having another shower to rid myself of the clinging fragrance. It is a large bottle, and as the manufacturer claims, only a little is needed for each shower, so this will easily last over six months, I very much doubt if I will persevere with it for that long.Although it is a large bottle, the price is quite high and I could only advise you to go ahead with a purchase if you have decided that you like the scent, and you will be comfortable using this gel for an extended period of time.

men-ü Black Pepper & Bergamot Shower Gel 500 ml
This men-ü Black Pepper & Bergamot Shower Gel 500 ml is a luxury item for men. The price is the reason this did not get a five star review. Lovely fresh, masculine fragrance and a little does go a long way - due to this being concentrated. The packaging was not great and the pump dispenser was damaged in transit. My partner loves using this shower gel (but I daren’t tell him the price!)
