Fun Project
Summary: The SOWIDE Supercar kit is very similar (almost exactly) to the known and loved Lego Technic car kits, with a little less clear instructions, no expensive car brand markings, and a much cheaper price tag.Detailed Review:I build both plastic car model kits as well as various different Lego car kits. I do this a stress reducing hobby and typically take my time. I jumped at the opportunity to review this SOWIDE Supercar building block kit as it looked very similar to other Lego product kits that I have built in the past.I slowly worked on this 1,278 piece kit over several weeks and multiple nights. Overall I think the kit came out great and provided a good deal of enjoyment, especially for the price. The car is not an exact replica of any known brand supercar and does thus not include the expensive brand name markings or stickers. It still looks great and had some cool features, such as a working steering wheel and a functional open differential (which I really liked). The kit went together well, but I did have some problems and confusions with the instructions. The instructions were similar to Lego, but the colors used were sometimes difficult to differentiate and the instructions were not always clear (especially towards the end of the build). I did have a few trial and error moments. For the most part the pieces all went together well, except towards the end when attaching the front of the car, where it took a fair bit of finger gymnastics and lots of pressure to get things in the correct placement. All of the pieces seem to be securely attached to the car except for the rear wing which I am not a fan of how it is connected and subsequently falls off easily. The real win here is the value for the enjoyment, especially as compared to the more expensive Lego Technic kits. If you need the Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren logos, than I suggest you look to Lego and their extensive licensing agreements with these brands, but if all you want is the joy of building a cool looking car than I high suggest looking into these SOWIDE (and other similar brand) generic kits as they offer great value.Pros:Looks goodGreat valueHours of funWent together mostly wellCool featuresCons:Not an exact replica of a real carNo OEM logo brandingInstructions could be clearerSome finicky installation steps

Supercar Shift for Value!
The SOWIDE supercar kit lets you unleash your inner engineer and sculptor, crafting a head-turning machine for a fraction of the cost of LEGO.This 1,278-piece (and a few extra pieces), odyssey takes you beyond the realm of copycat builds. The SOWIDE car carves its own path with a unique design that'll have car and LEGO enthusiasts doing a double take. But the experience goes deeper than just aesthetics. Functional features like a working door, steering wheel, and an open differential add a layer of authenticity, making it feel like a real supercar you can miniaturize. The instruction manual might seem familiar, but some color inconsistencies might force you to hit the brakes and double-check your steps occasionally. The final assembly phase, particularly the front section, can be a bit tricky, requiring some extra focus and pressure to ensure a perfect fit.One minor snag is the attachment method for the rear wing. Its design feels a little on the weak side, and the wing might become a detachable feature if not handled with care. I detached it once and I'm sure it will happen again.Despite few minor bumps in the road, the SOWIDE Supercar shines brightest in terms of value. If you crave the satisfaction of constructing a showstopping car without the luxury brand tax of a licensed Ferrari or Lamborghini, this kit is your ticket. Buckle up for a rewarding and engaging building experience, all at a price that won't leave your wallet feeling like it needs a tow truck. However, if brand loyalty is your fuel, then Lego might be the better pit stop for your building journey.

Not easy!
My teen is an avid set builder, usually of the famous βLβ brand. But thought this would be something different. It was VERY difficult and a bit frustrating. Not because shes not an advanced builder but because the instructions werenβt super clear all the time or worse yet is that some of the parts were not cut to the right length. She actually had to get her exacto knife out a few times and cut some of the pieces to the proper size.Does it look super cool once finished? Yes, it does. But it was a bit frustrating so I might not recommend it to an average builder.
