Nettipattam (Elephant Caparison) is the traditional headgear worn by elephants during festivals in the Indian state of Kerala. Old age, the Nettipattam or the caparison, was only used during festivals in Hindu temples. But now, people of Kerala feel proud to have it's hand crafted mocks on the walls as a symbol of prosperity and strengh. Many believes that, having Nettipattams as wall-hangings brings good luck to their homes and business establishments. Though the traditional nettipattams are made in copper plated with gold, this Trendy Handcraft is made in quality plastic and wool, but the look alike of the real nettipattam. Its color will not be faded if it is not placed in the direct sun light.
