Not In English
Unfortunately, I was looking for the English version of the soundtrack which I can't seem to find. Pity but still great music for my niece and nephew to enjoy.

Amazing performance... beautiful vinyl edition.
Some of the reviews below are puzzling, as La Traviata is typically in Italian, and I don't see why people would expect this record to be in english. So yes, this is La Traviata, sung in good old Italian :-)I am posting my review for this record here on Amazon.co.uk, although I purchased it on Amazon.de. Most people are probably familiar with the CD or the DVD edition of this Traviata since it was published over 12 years ago. Over the years I have bought the CD, DVD, and more recently the Blu-Ray edition of this Traviata, and I enjoy it very much, in fact I appreciate it more and more as time goes by.This vinyl edition, however, brings something more to the picture : the record is mastered in such a way that the recording captures Anna Netrebko's performance in a very close way, so you have a feeling of hearing more detail (and probably some defaults, for the more sophisticated listeners - but to me, this is just fascinating to hear so much detail). In parts, the recording captures the sound of the footsteps on the stage, and lots of micro-details from the performance (which can easily be found on the DVD or the Blu-Ray). Netrebko's voice is very rich, organic, in a way that cannot be found on the CD or the DVD.It has become fashionable to criticize Anna Nebretko, mostly because she has become a star in the general audience, and not limited to the elitist circles of opera lovers. However, I think her performance is worth comparing with some of the most famous performances of the past. I have about 10 different Traviatas, mostly in vinyl format, and this one is among the top 3 or 4 in terms of performance, and by far the best in terms of sonics - the sound is simply stunning from an audiophile point of view.
