Techbed Maxi: iPad Tablet & ebook reader Stand Bean Bag Cushion Holder for all devices inc 12.9” (Old Gold)

This is a really great product, and comes with superb customer service. I have been looking for something that will help my father to read books more easily. He is 97 and loves to read but finds it tiring and painful to hold a book for any length of time - especially a hardback, but even the lighter paperbacks are difficult for him. I ordered a Techbed Maxi, with excellent pre-purchase advice and support from Edge Beanbags - and had it sent to me at my home. It arrived promptly, as promised. I wanted to see if it would 'do the job' of securing a big book on my father's lap or on his table before I sent one to him. It fulfilled its promise - a heavy hardback book was easily and comfortably held, and I am sure that he will be able to use it daily for his reading. The advantage of trying the Techbed Maxi out beforehand is that I get to keep the first one. No hardship there - it is great for my iPad, which I use a lot. The disadvantage is that my husband also likes it for his iPad, and I can see that his reading and watching posture as he uses it is much better for his back and neck, which are being held upright and therefore more comfortably. I've now sent for another one to go direct to my father in his Care Home; I think I may soon have to send for another for my husband. And my uncle - at 87, with painful arthritis in his hands and another avid reader - I imagine that he will want one too when he sees how useful it is. The Techbed Maxi is well made, attractive, comfortable to use and most importantly, it meets the need.

This was bought for a kindle e-reader. It is probably a little on the large size for this, but works well as it is wider across the lap giving a stable base to rest on and the screen is a bit higher up making reading easier. I wouldn't want one any smaller now. The shape is ideal, being a tetrahedron it provides a stable base and also a good support at the back to keep things in place. The workmanship and finish is really good - no stuffing will escape this. The material provides a good base which holds the e-reader in place but also won't scratch or mark it. Recommended supplier too. Supplied very quickly and with superb attention to detail and good customer service - a small company where every customer counts.Have bought a second one and this is perfect too. Works well for reading or watching films on a tablet.

This is my second order so I can have one by my favourite chair in the living room plus another by my recliner in the conservatory. Resting my iPad at just the right angle is a massive help in avoiding pain in my arthritic fingers. During lockdown I’ve been able to relax at ease through Zoom video calls with the family.I spent ages selecting which colour to order and am thrilled with this choice.Placed my order Friday afternoon, delivered mid morning Saturday!!!

I had been given the mini version of the techbed as a gift, and while it’s fine for a Kindle, it’s not really big enough to support the size and weight of an iPad. I decided to order both the medium and maxi size, mainly because I couldn’t make up my mind which colour and fabric I preferred! The maxi came in lovely old gold chenille which beautifully complemented my iPad cover ( can’t be too careful about these things!) It arrived three days before the estimated date, very well-packaged and included a pleasant informative letter from the manufacturer. I am delighted with the product and the service and am more than happy to recommend. I’m sure I will be ordering more in future as presents for friends and family.
