Great entry level glove
I use them for classes and sessions with my PT and they’re so good. I’d ordered and tried on seven different gloves before I tried these as I was aiming to stay under £35. None of them felt quite right, some were awful. After reading the reviews I decided to give these a try on and I’m glad I did as they are so comfortable. I like how my hand feels super safe and secure and I haven’t noticed any pressure/hots spots to create any chafing. I don’t wear wraps and these provide a great level of wrist support, better than all the other popular brands I had tried on. Also the white looks really good. I definitely recommend you try these especially if like me you’ve been looking at the slightly cheaper ones, these a definitely a class above. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, worth the extra pennies to protect your hands and especially your wrists.

Die Contender 1.5 XT Boxhandschuhe sind insgesamt gut verarbeitet. Die Materialien machen einen soliden Eindruck und die Nähte wirken sauber und stabil. Beim Anziehen sitzen die Handschuhe gut an der Hand, das Innengefühl ist angenehm und nichts drückt oder scheuert. Positiv ist der Halt am Handgelenk. Durch die Verarbeitung knickt man nicht so leicht um, was beim Training ein gutes Gefühl gibt. Für mich eignen sich diese Handschuhe allerdings eher für Sandsack- und Pratzentraining. Für Sparring empfinde ich sie als zu hart, weshalb sie meiner Meinung nach dafür weniger geeignet sind. Wer regelmäßig Sparring macht, sollte sich dafür lieber ein anderes Modell holen. Als Alternative kann man zum Beispiel die Venum Elite in Betracht ziehen, die preislich im Rahmen liegen und fürs Sparring besser geeignet sind. Fazit: Gute, stabile Handschuhe für Sandsack und Pratzen, fürs Sparring jedoch nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
