Excellent Binoculars
These Sunagor Binoculars offer excellent magnification over a vast field of differing distances, Once the user has adjusted the left eye lens to suit their personal focus, you can then begin to view at any distance and then zoom in using the zoom handle on the right lens. It's accepted that if your viewing distant objects, then a great deal of movement through the lenses is going to be expected. That said, the Sunagors do incorporate a threaded pivot point for tripod use, and I would advise you use this if your intention is to view the moon. In reality because of the 50mm diameter lenses used on this model, the intended use is as daytime field glasses for bird watching, use at the seaside, coastal watching, and landscape scanning where optimal light lends itself to achieving crisp sharp images. For those of you who wish to view the stars and the moon, it might be better to consider the Celestron Skymaster range. In summery these are excellent Binoculars which are well worth the money invested, they also come complete with a nice carrying bag, lens cleaner, and adjustable neck strap.

Bought this as a present for a friend, they were over the moon with the clarity and zoom capabilities.
Excellent value for money, high quality product which did everything it said it would, it was easy to operate and was not too heavy. however if using at maximum magnification you'll need to use a tripod as it does amplify the small movements of your body.

The binoculars are very light and easy to use
The zoom is very powerful and at max zoom its very sensitive to see out of, hence I reduced 1 star. The binoculars are very light and easy to use. Great product and the zoom at the lower end of the scale far exceeds the other binoculars by a significant amount making them very versatile and a great piece of kit to have.

Had a pair of binoculars but wanted something more powerful ...
Had a pair of binoculars but wanted something more powerful,BOY they there are, looked at previous reviews and decided also to buy a tri-pod as they quite heavy which helped a lot,as other people have said the zoom gets a bit of getting used to,but after a couple of times you soon get the hang of it.

Terrible optics, blurry and unfocused.
Having read other reviews I thought I'd give these a try. The product itself feels well made but the optics are extremely disappointing, the view is blurry and unfocused at all zoom levels. Even at its lowest setting of 20x magnification the image is terrible, far far worse than a 30+ year old pair of 10x50mm bins I had to compare these against. I was so disappointed that I have returned mine for a refund.

not for me
these bins were very heavy - would probably be fine with a tripod - but not what I wanted. The weight made them difficult to focus so returned them and will get something smaller. I'm sure these would be great for some people but not for me unfortunately.
