Picked up this flag before Minnesota changes to a new state flag.While it is the original state seal flag and it is the high quality I would expect, I did notice that this flag does seem to be a little thinner than some other flags I have had, so to counter this, I will just keep this flag indoors away from the elements.

As a Minnesotan, you will know that this will always be the true Minnesota flag, not the silly new one. That being said, I had to get one to put up in my garage. When I saw this come across, I didn't think twice. Now, I think you should be aware that this is certainly a budget flag at this price. Do not expect this to be a premium flag, it's relatively thin and doesn't feel like it would hold up outside for very long. However, for my purposes it's absolutely 5-stars, it has nice solid colors and hung up easily in my garage.If you're looking for a piece of soon-to-be history to display, this is certainly not a bad option. Especially at this price!

I ordered this because as a lifelong Minnesotan and Historian I wanted to grab a piece of our history before its either gone or being taken advantage of at some inflated price as a "collector's item". I like this flag however I was disappointed with a couple of aspects of it. First, it is only a one-sided flag so if you want to hang it outside you need to plan for that. For me this isn't as big of an issue because I plan to hang it either in the library or the rec room, but it should be pointed out. The second issue does actually impact me more and that is the quality of the image. If you look at it up closely you will see that the two people are just sort of representative images with no form or detail, and the same can be said for some of the other elements in the seal. I still put the flag up, but I wish it was a little more detailed. The size of the flag is quite large and made of what seems to be good material with a rich blue tone that looks elegant. Overall, I wanted to give this flag a better grade however given the points I have made I feel that a middle of the road three-star rating is all I can do. At this price point you don't expect much but there is a difference between inexpensive and cheap and this one walks a little too close to the latter for me.

The flag’s color and graphics are decent, but the blue is more muted than photo indicates. This is a one sided flag so only one side is ‘correct’ while the reverse appears backward. The material is not the highest quality, but I’m not hanging outside so less of an issue. Grommets are decent, but I don’t know how long it would last in higher winds or inclement weather. Nice piece of history now that MN adopted a new ‘modern’ flag that looks more like a sporting team than a state.

The quality of this flag is decent. The coloring and details on the seal could be better. The pictures that are included on this page are not the flag I received. Many of them have better coloring. Some of them are missing details. This flag is only one sided so it it would not look nice from both directions on a flag pole, so the brass grommets are useless to me. I only got this since MN is understandably changing their flag, to have this one as a piece of history.

This is a lightweight flag but certainly good enough for anybody to view from more than five feet away so long as there is light on the front of the flag and no backlight—which is to say that in direct sunlight too much light bleeds through this material making the flag illegible. I hung my flag under part of my deck where, in the summer, sunlight comes in from the front, and since my home is 35' from the lakeshore, every boat that floats by can see the flag.

Minnesota is changing its state flag. Before that happens I thought I’d get one for my garage. It’s the flag I grew up with and I do understand why it’s being changed. The flag itself is nicely printed. It’s not super strong fabric and probably will not stand up to big Minnesota storms but for indoor use it’s absolutely perfect. Bright colors are a plus.

I wanted to get the soon to be retired flag of the great state of Minnesota before the new one becomes official. This is an inexpensive nylon flag that is one sided and is very light. I just wanted it as a souvenir. Just understand that it is inexpensive but the stitching is straight and the size is good.
