Strats are legos
For someone who has been doing Frankenstein Strat telly and various bolts on builds and knowing what fits and knowing what you have to retrofit and going through all troubleshooting victories, you name it. You know applied science, not influencing cutting out what you messed up. You need the snags to show real life.I have a course called The Tone Consultant, related to HomeWrecker Pickups.I’m not the influencer with the fancy videos, I teach you and my classes real life situations because we build these and we are players as well and take them on the road and put them to the test. This guard fit one of those projects I needed rails which sounded legit, especially tapped. I swapped the humbucker, checked the phase, linked it up. The guitar had a mahogany body and a custom neck from Alloy Guitars. All fit. Lined up as if it were cut to the scale and spec of the guitar. As I dropped the bridge/trem in.I would source them if they made harnesses! Excellent and durable wiring. Easy install, ground bridge to pots or Eric Johnson style, straight to the jack. As with the out from volume and ground of pots/switchesSwitches tapping all pickups especially since the bridge I added a highly charged magnet and custom alloy screws. All worked fantastically. Balance. It saved me a lot of time. So best value for the money if looking for a prewired PG. stock pickups were surprisingly good! I modified bridge mag, custom alloy screws on coil, and keeper bar. Set it on fire! The rails sounded better than i imagined. And I worked for ESP/LTD for 6 years in a custom position that they created for me. Working next to the VP in production management, product development, and special projects for the custom shop. Then I directed multiple departments such as warranty repair and was one of the few to handle the top artists builds and modifications.. The person I did this for was blown away. A combination with this guard and. Thanks to Alloy guitars for the titanium reinforced neck and 1 piece body. This project really exceeded all I thought it would come out. I knew it would be good. But this was next level. And the guard/rail pickups harness were time saving and useable. Thank you so much! I’d love to get in contact and see if there is a broader menu for pre wired harnesses. The workmanship was very clean and strong!

For the price, you can't beat them!!!
The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant because the reviews for this was a lower average than the one I was originally looking at. But upon seeking video reviews for the one I wanted I found none. But then a video for this Popped up. Absolutely love the tonal capabilities of this setup I play with 1046 pure nickel strings and this blows those Korean squire pickups out of this world! 5 stars because this product worked and flawlessly. That being said aftermarket parts require fitting to your guitar not all the holes on my pick guard lined up properly and the heat shrink on the wires was not shrunken. Also includes no instructions might be pretty useful to have some for the new guitarist's.

It's good if you're in a pinch and you're a beginner
It's okay for a beginner and if you just feel like messing around with something but even after having a professional set it up could not get rid of the buzz from the pickups no matter what they did swapped all brand new parts new mono jack for the guitar everything and still couldn't get rid of the buzz

Factory wiring faulty
The pickups sounded like they had way too much treble and no bass. Even with knobs on zero it was still way too much treble even at zero. I haven’t installed it until yesterday so I can’t send it back now because it’s been too long to return it. I will just have to eat it now I guess. Get what you pay for is the lesson here. I’m sure there are good ones but mine wasn’t one of those.

Solid loaded pickup, not just for the price!
Purchased this to throw in a spare Strat, and it sounds great! I wasn't expecting much at the price, but the pickups are very solid. Not microphonic at all, and good clarity. Neck is smooth and can be creamy, bridge has nice bite. Middle is a little lacking, not just because of Strat middle position. The electronic options are cool to have at this price point. Dime-size pots and cheap wire is to be expected, not sure on the quality of the coil split switches/mute switch but they feel solid.Coil splits work, but as expected the 60-cycle hum is quite high. I'm not too big a fan for the neck/mid splits, too thin, not at all like a true single coil which is to be expected. The coil split for the bridge sounds decent and I'll likely use when playing more light-mid gain that needs some extra bite. One thing to note, the mute switch will require some *slight* alteration to the body route/cavity on your guitar itself. It's just a tad too wide, so you'll need to dremel or chisel out just a tad of wood - I just took a chisel and removed the "corner" of the body route, and that allowed enough room to fit. Only 1 pickguard screw was off, rest were typical Fender 11-hole mounting. The mute switch is not a momentary kill switch, so unfortunately no Buckethead-style playing, but it's nice to have a total mute since the knobs are just a tad blocked by the switches now

Another lesson learned
The description on the page says 4 wires. Even in the picture, there's no green wire. All rigs and wiring configurations are different for each thing you buy. This one said black is hot. Well, I read that after I installed everything and it didn't work. I'll take it apart and see if it's anything I did wrong, but geeze, white or red is normally hot, green or black ground! I did notice that some of the wiring on the volume pot looked odd. But since I've never wired a coil split I didn't question it much until now. So add a diagram of where the loose leads connect next time. I'll keep this company in mind next time I build a Strat, if I do. I won't buy from these guys again. So now, I just have a nice looking guitar I've built from scratch that is nothing but wall art.Update weeks later: I finally got it figured out by no help of the manufacturer. My troubleshooting skills are improving. Sounds very interesting. Main thing is the manufacturer needs to package this better with a schematic.
