DOES NOT have overheating safety feature
My standard charger had a shut off feature if it detected overheating of the power supply. This charger is lacking that safety featureMy charger got covered by a blanket by accident for about an hour. It got so hot that it started to melt the case and the blanket it was sitting on.I realized something was wrong when I smelled the melting plastic, which was sitting next to me. It's kind of scary to think what would've happened if it hadn't been!

It worked, for awhile
This only worked for about a year before we had to replace it. It is much lighter that the original, OEM version. I don't think it stands up to the demands of a gaming laptop.
