Love it.
Upgraded from a 4c after moving to a house with a more open floor plan and the difference is substantial. Voices are clear even when whispering. Sound now fills the room. Love it.

Gratifying Purchase
I bought one of these directly from the Aperion website. Many years ago, as a favor to my wife, I replaced an Aperion 4C with a small, non-intrusive center channel which, in retrospect, was not very good. Meanwhile, the 4C was doing its job in my basement office reminding me what a decent center channel sounds like. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore, and I ordered a 5C, in black to make it as stealthy as I could. Oh, my. What clarity. I can hear the dialogue now; I don’t need subtitles on all the time. And what a beautiful full range sound. The Yamaha receiver’s auto calibration pinned it as a large speaker, so the subwoofer isn’t having to help as much. Really gratifying. This is an intrusive speaker. It’s huge compared to the other centers I’ve used. I mounted it above my wall mounted TV and it looms over the system. Glad I got it in black otherwise it’d distract from the video. There are 2 quarter twenty mounting points at the rear, be warned that at 22 pounds, the box is going to want to lean down a bit, which in my case is good as I want sound to be angled down from the top of the TV to my listening level at mid TV height. There are quality banana plug jacks around back.Sound was great out of the box, but give it a break in period to fully evaluate. I happen to have Intimus 4B left rights, and they are a good size fit for my room. The rest of the room is sort of ad hoc. I have a huge SVS subwoofer, Micca ceiling speakers, and some oddball SphereX surrounds in a 5.1.2 configuration. All driven by a 7.2 Yamaha receiver.I’d probably been fine with the 4C, but wow this 5C is worth the price difference.
