Amazing
UPDATE.After this being my main watch for over a month, I have found a lot of things about it that I would like to share.First, this is NOT a smart watch, you can't compare this to an Apple Watch, Garmin, Samsung, etc. This watch is a hybrid and it is a "regular" watch at its core with some Fitness tracking capabilities. Which to me, it is perfect! The battery lasts very long, I have enabled heart rate monitor to be always on + I workout every weekday for about an hour and the occasional hiking or pool swimming on weekends and on average the battery lasts me (to have just 2 bars out of 5) about 12 - 15 days. I recharge the watch when it has 2 battery bars as I have read in different forums that is a best practice to keep your watch running virtually forever. The Workouts, steps and HR can be sent automatically to Apple Health and Strava, which even though I tried Strava, I ended up deleting it as I did not see any added benefit compared to Apple Health other than the "social" aspect which I don't care, plus, it is a subscription based app, so no thanks.Sleep tracking cannot be transferred over to Apple Health which it was a bit of disappointment but I can live without it.The Casio Watches app although it is not top notch, it is not comparable to other Apps like those used by Garmin, Samsung etc. It does its job. It keep records of all your vitals and workouts in one place, which is enough for me.I found the Sleep tracking info arguably better than Apple Health (Paired with the Apple Watch) as it provides more insight. Like you get a score for your sleep quality and time and also you get a score for something called Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), which tells you the strain of your workouts, and you get some insight on that, as if you need to push harder, or take it easy that day, which I find kind of helpful. One thing I struggled at first was with the "nighttime", in my case, I was treating it as I did with my Apple Watch, in the sense, that if I went out for vacations (which I did during this one moth time period) I would just change the start and end sleep time in my watch and hope to record it whenever I wanted, or even deactivate it and reactivate it on command whenever I was going to bed. But doing that gave me a negative experience, right after I modified the nighttime setting, my watch stopped recording my sleep score (which for some reason I am obsessed with) and I could not figure it out, until, after some reasoning I discovered I should not mess with the nighttime setting, so what I did was to set up a time that is not that accurate, like go to bed to 9 pm and wake up at 9 am, which that is not true as on weekdays I typically go to bed at 9pm but wake up at 5, and on weekends I go to bed around 10.30 - 11pm and wake up around 8 - 8.30 am, so after I did that, I started getting accurate readings every single night, last weekend I went to bed at 1am and woke up around 9.30 and it give me my sleep recording accurately. One thing I have read on Reddit or other places is the buttons are a bit mushy, but I dont think that is the case, I think the watch has a slight delay when you press the button and when you get some feed back ether on its screen or by sound or vibration. Which I got used to it once I understood this was not my Apple Watch, I understand for some people this might be annoying but for me, I am ok with it.The GPS signal works fine, it is not the fastest out there, but it is ok, when I go hiking it could delay me 10 seconds till a I get good GPS reception which let's be honest, it is nothing, plus Casio has been releasing some GPS updates that have improved that waiting time and accuracy (these updates are different than the firmware update which I have gotten 1 thus far since I bought it).And lastly, I have read you cannot disable the backlight when you press the buttons but yes you do, you just need to silence it and set it on vibration only, which in my case, it is what I wanted. So overall I think this watch is super cool, good looking, tough, has a lot of functions, it works great for my needs (btw. I disabled notification on the watch since I was sick and tired of them in my Apple Watch and was one of the main reasons to get a different watch). It is accurate and the App although it is not super advanced or anything, it gives you all the data you need for your workouts.I 100% recommend this watch if you like outdoors and to workout, as you dont have to worry about battery life or cracking/scratching your smartwatch crystal display._____________________________________________________________________________I have just tried it for a couple of hours but so far, I can tell the following:1. Super comfortable, I am used to big watched, I have several considered "big" like the Mudmaster GGB100, and this feels much smaller and more comfortable, I even find it more comfortable than my apple watch series 7 (45mm)2. super easy to setup with the app3. I have had no issues to read the watch, even with the "controversial" negative display, it is easy to read4. Strap is great quality, it is soft, and comfy5. Has a lot of functions including workouts6. Which is one of the selling points for me (besides the other 5 XD) is that the Casio Watches app, can transfer the data to apple healthThis is particularly important to me, one of the main reasons I felt "stuck" with the apple watch was that I am an apple fitness + subscriber and I did not wat to lose all the "goodies" but I think this is an alternative to stop using it and still getting all my workouts recorded. My intentions are to have it as my daily beater, so I will update this review after a week or two, when I have had more workouts recorded and sent over apple health to see how that works. So far, it is a looker with a lot of functions! plus is solar!

Awesome watch
Incredibly happy with this watch. I’ve had it for about a week and wanted to learn all of the features before reviewing. To start off, it’s very well made and looks awesome. For me, it is just the right size. The build quality is solid. Outside of the construction, what makes me really like the watch are all of the various apps. I won’t use all of them as they don’t fit my activities, but will use many. It’s not a smart watch but has many applications that will be useful. What’s interesting is that my battery level has not dropped in five days without a charge. I was expecting a regular need to charge it. The solar assist helps. You can also choose from various watch faces. Overall, I am 100% happy with this watch. It will be my daily wear.

Pleasantly surprised and different from expected
I read so many reviews saying this watch was huge and was looking forward to a massive watch, but honestly this was smaller than expected and smaller than my Suunto 9 Baro. Has less activities than Suunto but ones more focused on what I do and more details than the Suunto. The Suunto is a great product but I like that this screen is easier to see in the sun and takes my heart rate much more consistently. I thought this was black but it is more of a muted gray which I like a little better. VERY light. Contrary to what people say easy to sleep with to do sleep stats. Not fancy, no frilly colors, but rugged and easy to use. Day 4 and very happy with the purchase (I only run, walk, trek, lift, bike and swim so this hits everything I need). Only complaint is I haven't figured out how to log a run on the treadmill vs outside run...also day 4 with every sensor turned on and only drained 10% battery with 2 GPS activities a day...

Battery is good
I'm not using this watch to bring harmony to my sleep cycle and workout schedule (I don't have one) I just wanted what I considered the most awesome G-Shock ever. I have no trouble with the battery, I charged it and it says "HIGH". No bubbles, no troubles, just an amazing watch that can do a lot. I like the barometer and almanac.

Very impressed!
I have a few G Shock's now and the GPR-H1000-1JR is really quite a wonderful watch. It's not exactly a sports watch, but more of a hybrid built-in a rangeman body. I bought the black/grey, it looks tough, and it's really lovely. The photos don't really do it justice. I've had the GPR-H1000-1JR for a few days already, and I haven't touched the charger yet since taking it out of the box. All bars are 100% - I have done due diligence in order to save power - no need to have my heartbeat measured all day - I only use those measurements at night to track my sleep and when I'm jogging. The Strava integration is nice but limited - it's only one way to the app. All the other functions are great - the barometer works accurately. I'll update the review as I learn more.

Great seller, great watch
Amazing CASIO watch with great Japanese products quality standard, great gadget for sports lovers. I love it. Just a little tip: the watch needs to receive GPS signal in an open area, if you stay in an apartment, usually it won’t happen but it doesn’t mean your watch GPS is broken. Lot of new features on this new rangeman, I’m not picky on the accuracy as long as it records my logs and locations, it’s a great watch, better looking than Garmin too.

Product defective after close to a year of use.
Update to this review - the left button on the watch has stopped working. I cannot reccomend this product now.I’ve had a Rangeman for years and it has been by far my favorite watch I’ve ever owned. That said, I did want some heart rate and calorie tracking capabilities that a Fitbit has. This fit the bill and so far has been awesome. Accurate heat rate monitor and battery lasts a long time. In fact, I haven’t gone below 5 bars.Great watch if you’re looking for a GShock Rangeman with some basic fitness tracking capability.
