Thin, packable and surprisingly really good at keeping in heat. I’m glad there’s the little under arm air holes for this reason as I run hot. The jacket itself it’s much brighter than the mustard I thought it would be but it’s so cute so I’m going to keep it! The little bag is convenient too! I got a small and I’d say I’m usually a medium. This size could fit people heavier than me comfortably! Arm length is great regardless of other review. The hood detaches which I love. I’m about 5’4 140pounds if that helps. I love this thing! I’m very happy. Can’t speak much yet on the water proof aspect which I got it for. But I’d say you’re looking more at water resistant with the material. I wouldn’t use it without an umbrella. I have bought two in black: one stays in my flight attendant gear for my layovers and commuting flights (it's been to many cities/countries), one for general use at home. I also have an acid blue and pink one. Good for throwing in my purse in case the grocery store is particularly cold or I'm in a theater near an air vent or it starts raining walking in the park! It packs down to such a tight, tiny size that is simply the most convenient and tidy extra layer I could carry. No issues with zippers. Conveniently located pockets! Generous interior pockets. A hood that will keep wind off my ears and rain out of my hair if I need it. I wouldn't expect this to survive a terrible downpour, but it'll suffice until you can get yourself out of the weather, hopefully. My black ones have a bit of a reflective quality these lighter ones don't have, but that just makes sense. Would recommend and will likely even buy more.Oh, I buy the 2X. I'm 5'8" and about 180, 36G bust... so I need room for the girls. For me, this size is comfortable and allows layers underneath it easily. So, they're definitely following a different size guide than I'd expect to find in the US. I generally wear a 14 uniform top or coat. Size large usually for tops (M-L bottoms). Hope this helps!

I should have returned it as soon as it came; however, I decided to gift it to my younger, smaller sister. I think she will be able to use it for RAGBRAI since it packs well and fits into jersey pocket nicely.

I got this for my sister who was looking for a thin coat to stop wind and rain but not add heat. She has not used it much but did say it seems like it is just what she needed

I overlooked the jacket being unlined but would have kept it if it had fit. It's sized smaller than normal.

This is a very nice jacket. Texture is smooth and not all wrinkled up. Workmanship is fine. Just a heads up that the "acid blue" color is actually a teal green. So if you want a teal colored jacket, order the acid blue. I thought it was going to be a turquoise color because that is how it looked on my screen. If you have ordered items from LL Bean in teal, that is the color of this one.
