Technically this is only half a toaster seeing as normal sized bread slices do not fully fit in it. So you have half bread half toast, but because of some reason only the manufacturers will know the top heating elements extra hot meaning you have a huge scorched patch in the center of your slice even on the lowest possible setting that still toasts, which by the way happens to be almost max as the first 5 settings simply dry the bread. The spring bar at the bottom is particularly useless as should you use anything that will fit into the toaster properly it will be smashed into the side and overhanging lip when it pops leaving you with screwed up toast. It will not accept anything classed as thick sliced bread, crumpets, or other bready products. So this toaster is absolutely useless.The reason I haven't sent this back for a refund is I bludgeoned it when it mangled 4 slices of tesco value wafer thing bread for the last time.Sorry but this is indeed the worst toaster ever

This item seemed overpriced for the quality of build.

The slots are very narrow and the crust of a loaf of bread jammed in the toaster this morning, luckily I was able to cancel it before it burned and set the smoke alarm off. Otherwise I am quite pleased with this toaster, it heats up as expected and I've been using it for 3 days without any problems. Unfortunately it can't fit the end slices of a loaf though.

Could not get it to work to cheaply made frightened to use it .it not going to last I would like a full refund and pre paid return postage

Doing it’s job?

I bought this as it takes 4 slices of toast but is narrow so it would fit in the space I have available. However it doesnt toast very well, only doing half the bread as mentioned in previous reviews. I could live with that but the plastic handle on the toaster broke off thus leaving the metal exposed. I thought this might be dangerous so I stuck a plastic milk bottle top on the handle so I am not touching the metal. This happened just outside Amazons return window so they said I must contact the maker who dont want to know either. I am disappointrd with the product but more disappointed with Amazon .

Will not toast a full slice of bread burns btm & does not toast the top most usless toaster I have ever bought so beware if you buy

Very poor quality, heat control didn't work properly, toast was beginning to burn before the cycle finished, even on lowest setting. Pop up switch didn't work, had to pop up manually. Also the inner works of toaster very loose inside plastic cover. 3rd time of using, again on lowest setting toast caught light and carried on burning even when unplugged from mains. Returned for refund, i may have been unlucky with my toaster and others may be safe but i cannot recommend.
