I purchased this as an interim solution until I can find a digital USB-C to 3.5mm adapter for my Essential PH-1. I lost my headphones on a flight and unfortunately the adapter dongle that came with the phone was attached to them. The plug for the USB-C connection is ridiculously long which makes it stick off the bottom of the phone about 3/16". It is also quite bulky. The DAC renders the music with little bass, it sounds very tinny. I tried this with several sets of headphones, same results. The only reason I am keeping it is that it works reasonably well as an OTG adapter when storage is plugged into the USB port on the device. If you are looking primarily for an adapter for headphone use take a pass.Update: After a month and a half it no longer works at all. Downgraded to 1 star, this thing is junk.
