I got hooked on kombucha at a previous job site, where they had it on tap (for free!) in the common area. As someone addicted to soda in the afternoon, kombucha offered a semi-healthy alternative with low calories.In my new job location, we only have water in the common area, so if I want kombucha (or any bubbly drink) I have to bring my own. Well, OK, let's try that :-)This stuff is easy to use. Basically, empty the packet in water, stir, drink. The flavor is pretty good. I added it to a 12oz bottle of water. The flavor strong enough for that amount of water, but I am not sure I'd go any more dilute. The bubbles were modest, but there was enough effervescence to give me the bubble feel that I like.Is it as good as the kombucha you buy in the store for a few bucks a bottle, or the stuff we had on tap? Not a chance. It doesn't have the depth of flavor or the intensity of effervescence. But is it good enough for an afternoon drink that you can carry in your pocket? Absolutely.At around a buck and a half per packet, it isn't super cheap, but it's cheaper than any bottle of kombucha that you can buy. On the whole, it's decent enough and I'm happy to have it around.

The flavor from these packets is very mild. I like that it only has 10 calories per packet but I feel like the flavor really takes the hit for that. The flavor that's there isn't bad, it's just not as strong as I'd like it to be.

Where is the pomegranate flavor. The worst ever and I’ve just used it once.

I find this to be a great space saving alternative to bottled and canned drinks. I can easily mix up a packet in ice cold water and enjoy a low-calorie drink with my meals. It has a little bit of fizziness and subtle sweetness. These are also great to travel with. We went on vacation recently and I kept a few of these in my purse to add to my water when we ate out. I preferred these to the non-sweetened ice tea I usually order.

... much.I've had the good fortune of ordering and reviewing various kombucha drinks, like this, where it comes as a powder that you mix with water.The other brands I've reviewed are made in Korea.Don't know how else to say this but, to me, they're just better.The first ingredient in this is "maltodextrin".It's a pretty common ingredient in powdered drinks, but it's basically sugar.A search will tell you that maltodextrin has the ability to spike your blood sugar levels more than "normal" white sugar. Don't love that.The Korean brands that I've tried list "digestion resistant maltodextrin". Like that better.I'd rather have that.The packet directions for this brand state "add one stick-pack to 8-12 fl. oz water and mix."Based on my experience with the Korean brands, I opted for the 12 ounces.I poured this over 12 ounces of bottled water in a glass bottle, shook it and let it chill.The taste intensity of tea and sweetness was a 4-5 on a scale of 10.The pomegranate flavor was not perceivable, by me nor by Misses Shops too much (who could be considered a "supertaster").There was some level of fruitiness/flavor; just not pomegranate; at least not to us.For me to eek any flavor out of this, I would probably need to add this to 5 ounces of water.The same directions are suggested for the stick packs of the Korean brands;the flavor is so much more intense that I add 16 ounces of water, even though their directions are also "8-12 ounces of water".Sorry. I mean no disrespect to this brand; but there's just other, better stuff out there.Three stars out of courtesy; can't really recommend.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.
