Renews The iPhone 4S.
⁃ The package comes with everything that’s required to make this replacement; paper instructions with color pictures, the battery itself, battery adhesive, a pentalobe screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, spudger, suction cup, 2 blue triangular opening picks, and tweezers.⁃ The instructions are well done and clear, although they show a different plastic tool, not provided, for prying the battery off the case.⁃ The battery was easy to take out. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being very easy and 10 being very difficult, this is a 2.5 to 3. It is slightly less nerve-racking than replacing parts of an iPhone 6 or later in comparison. I have replaced a screen for both the iPhone 6S plus and the iPhone 8 Plus and that process is very nerve-racking!⁃ Watch videos of how to replace the battery. Yes, there are still videos on the tube years later. The ‘best’ video to watch is by Directfix, ‘how to replace a 4S battery in 2 minutes.’ There is also a video by Ifixit, ‘how to replace your battery on your iPhone 4S.’⁃ Just use the provided purple pentalobe screwdriver to remove the 2 screws at the ‘bottom’ of the phone at the charging area that hold the phone together.⁃ Once the screws are out, pop off the back panel by slightly sliding the back panel up while holding the rest of the phone body in place. The panel then comes off.⁃ Amazingly, the same purple screwdriver used to remove the pentalobe screws also removed the 2 Phillips screws that hold the battery connector cover. Remove the 2 Philips screws that hold the battery connector cover in place and then use the triangular blue plastic tool to remove the connector from the logic board.⁃ Pay great attention to the pressure contact, a small black piece with a copper color tip which may come loose while prying the battery connector from the socket.⁃ To remove the battery, use the same triangular blue tool to pry the battery off from the right side. Once it’s loose, then use the pull tab to remove the old battery.⁃ The new battery comes with its own pull tab and adhesive strip.⁃ Apply the new adhesive strip to the back of the new battery where the warning sign directions are. Make sure that, when the battery is flipped, the pull tab directions that say ‘authorized service provider only’ face upwards and are legible.⁃ Place the new battery in the battery slot. Make sure that the pressure contact piece is in place before connecting the battery to the logic board.⁃ Once properly connected, place the battery connector cover and screw back the 2 Philips screws in place.⁃ Place the cover on the phone body and screw back the 2 pentalobe screws with the purple screw driver.⁃ The directions state that you should charge the battery to 100% and discharge it 3 times for it to work optimally.⁃ The battery now works well with no issues. Just like a new battery.⁃ I purchased this battery to replace my battery for my iPhone 4S. I know this is another decade but I still use my iPhone 4S for a specific purpose; taking pictures of repairs that I undertake to my cars, motorcycles and bicycles.⁃ Since I am not really a professional, I take pictures of most of the important steps of disassembling and reassembling the auto and bicycle parts. The phone is small and handy enough for this purpose and I actually use this particular phone as my other older ‘work’ iPhone fell into a pool of oil and became unusable. I wouldn’t use my current iPhone for this particular purpose as it would be too risky!⁃ The original battery was obviously way past its prime or even decent use and the phone would die just after charging it. It’s amazing just how quickly the battery drains off.

iPhone 4 battery
Got this for an old iPhone whose battery was bulging. Pretty easy install. 2 screws at bottom of phone. Slide top off. Release battery clip. Remove battery. Put included adhesive on new battery, install it, install battery clip and close up phone. Works fine and holds charge.

Quality item. Came with nice tools, but needs better instructions.
Wow, came with a nice set of tools. And it was EASY to install.NOTE: After installing it says it was manufactured Dec 25th 2019. (4 years old at the time of this review) Lithium Ion batteries do suffer from aging. and these batteries are not being manufactured anymore.WARNING: This is not a certified battery Apple likes. So if you try to upgrade after installing the battery, you'll get a 'Error 29'. So upgrade to iOS 9.3.6 before installing battery.Battery cable needed to be shaped like the old one, and the paper instructions were missing a important part about the 'pressure contact '. Make sure to look at other instructions (iFixit)During reassembly, be sure to carefully position the pressure contact back in place. It should rest on top of the Philips screw post, and the gold contact should point towards the battery connector. It's a tiny loose piece, when the connector is disconnected.

Old phone/ New life ! Easy DIY and save $
Having an old iPhone 4s which provided years of great service finally was retired for a newer model. Also having a child in need of their first phone, I decided to replace the dead battery and revive “old reliable “. Glad I made this purchase. The value for the money spent was well worth it indeed. An excellent value for the money. I was a little daunted at first because I’m not that tech savvy, but went ahead with the purchase anyway. Within minutes literally of receiving the delivery I had the new battery installed. All the tools needed for installation are provided and the instructions are clear and precise. Just have a clean work area because the screws are tiny. I also watched a quick YouTube video for a visual lesson which if I remember correctly is recommended in the instructions. Within minutes “It’s Alive “ and working as good as the day I bought it. I followed the directions precisely to use the phone until the battery dies completely and recharge fully three times in a row. So far it holds excellent battery life and I’m very pleased with my purchase. So save your money and don’t pay a technician to do it when it’s so easy to do it yourself.

failed in less than 2 montrhs
Battery quite holding a charge after two months. I contacted Amazon who gave me a phone number and email address to contact the seller. The seller has not responded to both the phone call and email. Stay far away from the seller.

Great Battery Replacement kit
My wife and I had a couple iPhone 4s a few years ago then switched to Android but kept the phones to use as iPods. The battery life had really fallen off so I looked into a replacement option. This kit comes with everything you need to replace the battery including tools to take the phone apart. There are plenty of easy videos on Youtube for any DIYers out there, this is a great, simple and easy solution. Batteries have been in place for some time and are keeping a charge*NOTE - make sure you order the 4 or 4s kit as they are different for each phone
