Spider-Man/Deadpool Hardcover

Would have been 5 stars but seeing as I paid 59 vs. Marked price. Great condition. Pages are a little sticky but fine. My daughter will be happy on xmas.

A definite fav was Deadpool'so reaction to Peter's soul. Pete carries so much guilt it's awesome to see his goodness validated. Makes Deadpool see how it could it be for him too

These are the guys that turned Deadpool from a "Spider-Man with guns" into the character we all know and love today. They produced a run on Deadpool back in 1996-98 that is still the very best interpretation (besides the movies) and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Deadpool by Joe Kelly Omnibus is one of my most prized possessions.As far as this particular book, it doesn't disappoint. Both Kelly and McGuiness have only gotten better in the intervening years. Kelly's dialogue is so hilarious and clever. I challenge anyone who can get every single pop culture or literary reference or snarky joke. He obviously writes a perfect Deadpool but he also has an amazing handle on Spider-Man, as has been established from his short run on Amazing Spider-Man. McGuiness' art is phenomenal as well. It's a bit sleeker and more highly rendered than some of his previous work, which tended to be more exaggerated and cartoonish.So for fans of Spider-Man and especially Deadpool (let's be real- this is kind of more of a Deadpool book than a Spider-Man book) you will definitely love this.

Die Geschichte ist unzweifelhaft absolut lesenswert und sehr gut gezeichnet. Leider muss ich bei dieser Hardcover-Ausgabe einen großen Abstrich dafür machen, dass die Seiten aneinander kleben (und da das Buch in Folie eingeschweißt war, ist dies ein Produktionsmangel) und sich nicht ohne Beschädigungen voneinander lösen lassen. Schade!
