On The Impossible Past by The Menzingers

This is just a brilliant album, not a duff track on it in my opinion. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best albums I've ever heard, and there's not a hint of hyperbole in that statement. This is up there with all the greats.It's meaty. The guitars chug, the drums pound, and the vocals are so sing-a-long-able it's an absolute joy to listen to this record.I'm not going to go into too much detail here, but I just need to let you know - you have to listen to this.

Having heard the two previous Menzingers albums I have to say they pale into insignificance compared to this latest offering. This is truely a Menzingers Masterpiece that I doubt will be bettered, an avalanche of infectious hooks & melodies combined with vocals screaming with raw emotion. Its by far the best thing I've heard this year.

Very much like the chorus of the opening track, all good things must seemingly fall apart. Which really is a shame, as the album bursts out of the starting gates with fire in its belly delivering a string of belting tracks in rapid succession. And then it seems to get soggy with the rain falling from the black cloud from which its early darkness was born out of.

For real - go and grab this album right now. You will be amazed with the talent these guys have. I have it on REPEAT for 2 months now...still rocks!

An excellent record. if you are a fan of bands like gaslight anthem, alkaline trio, AFI and taking back sunday then give this band go. you won't be dissapointed.

Brilliant punk album

Bought this a few moths ago - not having heard any Menzingers before. For me it was a slow burner but after a few listens its a great sing along punk album that I like more and moreFavourites and stand out songs for me are tracks 1,2 and 5 is a belter2 gripes though: track 6 and 7 open with the same line "I remember..."and tracks 1 and 9 repeat the lines "we took / we would take rides in your american muscle car..." just makes me wonder if they're short on ideas when it comes to lyrics?
