I never use it because it doesn't reach the baked-on crust I am trying to remove. The rings of wire that make up the scraping/scrubbing surface are so stiff that they don't reach down between the grill grates. The whole thing rides above the grate and only knocks off anything that might be sticking up. You could get the grill just as clean using a metal spatula. At least with a spatula, you could turn it sideways and scrape between the bars of the grill.It's a great idea. You definitely don't want to get little wires in your grilled chicken, burgers, or steaks. And traditional wire grill brushes shed little wires that could end up in your food ... and then in your mouth or digestive tract. That could be bad. Though I've never heard of it happening to anyone I know.RECOMMENDATION: I got a grill brush with nylon bristles at Lowe's that I use every time I grill. I have to use it before I turn the grill on because the nylon bristles could melt on a hot grill. But it gets down between the grill bars and doesn't have any dangerous wires that could fall off and stick to my food.

I received this Grill Brush for my personal use and an honest review. It has taken me awhile to post a review, because standing in the snow to barbecue wasn't on my list of favorite things to do. We finally had warm enough weather and I am in love with this Grill "brush". I use the word brush loosely because it's actually three coils of stainless steel and it cleans really fast without the worry of leaving pieces of a brush on the grill to get into your food.

My Son in laws very impressed with this Christmas gift. Barbecue grilling chefs should really consider this purchase....as our family was personally exposed to hamburgers with steel shreds from grill brush cleaners.

Looks like a hardy brush in the photos, but design means that very little of the brush actually touches or scrapes grill. Bristle brush is much better.

Haven't tried it yet but knowing no steel brush pieces will end up in my meat

Lookes great but literally does not do the basic job of cleaning/scraping.

The angle of the brush head is too flat so your hand gets pretty close to the grill.

Just okay. In theory it should be great but really not as effective in cleaning as traditional bristles.
