Short read, little new information.
More of a booklet than a book, it provides little new information about the Falklands War of 1982.

An interesting, short book which outlines the extent of cooperation between the Chilean military authorities and the British government. It reveals the reason for a clandestine, burned-out helicopter that suddenly appears on Chilean soil and it also provides background on the why's and wherefore's of Mrs. Thatcher's determined, subsequent defense of a ruthless dictator who was being tried for crimes against humanity and whose extradition from the UK was being judiciously sought.

One those individual roles that go unsung, but whose makes the difference in the end. Those that go unsung publicly are often those that contribute much.

Interesting book
The book is written in a very easy way to read it.I liked to know about history and how things were done behind the scene. There are some mistakes regarding the map of Chile at the begining of the book and some minor mistakes with names.I found the book really interesting in order to know what happened and to realize how the world moves.Good job Sydney !Tito

Not an all encompassing view of the Falklands conflict. It is a short and sweet "one man's story" of his time in Chile supporting the war effort. Definitely worth reading if you're already familiar with the topic and want to get a fresh perspective.

Of very littlei nterest!
As a retired RAF Nimrod navigator who was based on Ascension Island during the Falklands conflict, I thought that this book would be of interest. Sadly, it contains absolutely nothing apart from the fact that the author obviously has a very high opinion of himself!!!Don't waste your money, my copy is in the bin.

Brilliant Falklands War insider story
Brilliant tale of hidden warfare and brave but unspoken support by local nations unimpressed by Argentina's antics. From this, I really appreciate the support that Pinochet's government in Chile gave UK. It also explains UK's attitude to Chile for many years. The book is well written and fast-paced. My only criticism is I wanted more of it. The author has total humility - I cannot imagine what a similar book written by a biggliest politician would say, if he had ever done anything worth writing about.
