2017 re-issue & first time on CD! 2nd album from 1969 intriguing blend of improvised and arranged pieces, with an all-star cast that includes Ron Carter, Bernard Purdie & Albert Stinson.

Overall this is a very pleasing CD.
Very good recording by Larry and crew. The musicianship here is top notch. All players do a marvelous job. I did not especially enjoy the vocals on this disc. The vocals and lyrics just seemed too cheesy for my taste. But do not the let the vocals dissuade you on the album as a whole, the instrumental tracks are so very good. Larry's guitar is so clear and dominates this disc, as it should be. And you have the great Ron Carter playing on a couple of cuts, what a treat! I really liked the tune "Morning Sickness" very much. It is a slightly slower tempo than some of the other tracks, but Coryell does play some pretty intense rips here as well. Overall this is a very pleasing CD.

One of his best works!
I have been following Coryell since the early 1970's and have every one of his LP's and CD's, many personally signed when I had the honor and privilege to meet him. The only CD missing from my CD collection is this one and it was always a mystery to me why it was never made. Well, it was made in Japan and sold for $100's which I wasn't willing to pay. Thankfully now it is more widely available.Without a doubt, this is arguably one of his best works!
