I purchased several of these flying birds as gifts for my grandchildren. They love flying these toys. Unfortunately, they are a bit fragile, but that is true for most flying toys. They are still worth giving as a gift.

My 7 year old daughter saved up her money to get one of these. She has flown it outdoors probably 100 times since we got it and it has held up really well. That being said, she is very careful controlling its landing to make sure it glides down to the ground. The wind has taken it away from us a few times and it has crashed into trees and our house without any damage at all. One of the times, I was sure that a wing would be torn by the time we fished it out of the tree. We got it down and there was no damage at all.For reference, we have several acres where she is able to fly it. I don't know how it would do in a small yard. She has asked to fly it inside and we haven't let her. I think you would have to have totally mastered the controls and know exactly how sharp it turns before flying it in the house. If we still lived in our old farmhouse with 20 foot ceilings, and less breakable stuff, I would let her fly it inside.The only issue we have had is the plastic screw holding in the batteries. Immediately out of the box, when we tried to open the battery compartment, the plastic screw head totally stripped making it impossible to turn and open. I couldn't find contact information for the company to get a replacement part once we forced the screw out from the bottom. Luckily, I was able to use a knife to make new slots in the screw head so that we could turn the screw. If it ever becomes unfixable, I think we will have a hard time finding something to hold the battery in. That could basically be an end to the fun.

Worked well…for 30 minutes. Gave it as a Christmas gift to my 9 y/o daughter. She was able to figure it out pretty quickly. But within about 30 minutes I was already fixing it. Gluing this, stapling that. Cmon guys it’s made of flimsy plastic. One hard landing or collision with anything and this thing is toast. They could have at least made the connecting rods for the wings out of aluminum. One of them broke by the sheer force of the intensity of the flapping motion. It just broke and separated in mid flight. Don’t waste your money on this unless you have money to burn.

This is unlike any other remote control flying thing I’ve had. It flaps the wings legit like a bird and flys controlling is ok. Not the best but not the worst. Battery is tiny so fly time is short. I would recommend this to others it’s worth the buy to try

It is a gift for my granddaughter, I've seen the videos and fell in love with it. It was going to be an introduction to RC toys to her since I collect RC helicopters and drones. When tested it did not fly, I noticed the safety pin was missing. I'm giving it a 4 of 5 stars until I return the item and get a new one.

A wonderful toy, so much delight, laughter and childish joy... It's worth it... Glad I bought this for my granddaughter.

Not worth time. Lasted 2 flights and now wont turn on. Ordered repkacment but still havent recieved it yet. Update ..just received it and will test soon.i will see if replacement is better..

Kids and I have been having a lot of fun with this. There is a short learning curve, but hard to put it down. The presets are also great.
