This was great for an engagement gift. I opted for the most expensive label, as I like the size and description most. It really does smell nice, and looks nice in a gift basket. I only marked it down by 1-star, as it’s marketed as one thing, but then has three different labels/costs to choose from.

This candle smells SO good! It has a great scent throw and the asthetic is awesome — it would make a great birthday gift!

We burn them almost every evening because we like the warm glow and the pleasant subtle scents.We also give candles as gifts because they're almost always guaranteed to boost the recipient's spirits.Nearly everybody can use a new candle.However, our max price range for gift candles is about $20 and there are lots of lovely gift candles on Amazon that are substantially less expensive than this one. So, already this one is outside our price range for reordering.Then, we never would know that this scent was supposed to be "vanilla, sugar, buttercream" without reading that on the product. Plus, this one is a little more than subtle in our view and we like subtle, so that's another count against this one.Then, the message on the candle just doesn't make sense to us. "Buttercream dreams"? What's that? And what do those words have to do with a birthday?Not for us, but we're giving this 3 stars because it's "OK" and we know our personal opinion about the scent and the message is just our opinion. Others might like this.

I ordered this candle for my wife's birthday and I didn't want to go out and get a generic one but one special. This is a very sleek design which my wife likes a lot. It is a small business brand and handcrafted. While I was purchasing, I didn't pay too much attention to scent but it is very strong. We couldn't sit close to candle when it was lit because it basically gave my wife a headache. We both like the quality and will try a different scent next time.
