1/2" Magnetic Inline Transmission Filter

Installed this filter inline on my son's 2005 Mustang after a transmission swap. Everything works fine and the filter is much more durable than it looks. I think it is a steel filter overmolded with plastic. I was somewhat skeptical from the picture, but the filter is good and solid. As long as it does its job, I'm pleased with it and for the price it is a good insurance policy so I don't have to replace another transmission!

I really like this product. It is hands down the best way I have found to extend the life of an old transmission. I highly recommend it. Just be careful when you order. There are several different sizes available, double check that the size you order is the one that actually fits your vehicle.

I was surprised that this wasn't plastic but some kind of metal that was coated with a really hard coating. Looks well built.

Great product

I'm not impressed with the build quality, but we'll see how it performs once it's gone through service and I cut it open. The outside seems to be plastic, not metal covered in plastic as some reviewers suggested. I'd like some insight into the internals. It has a flow direction indicator, but blowing into it through with my mouth on either end felt the same.Like I said, we'll see. I'll update this review when it's time to replace it.

I replaced my existing 3/8" Magnefine filter with this larger 1/2" unit to minimize ant restrictiveness when I replaces my trans cooler.

Easy to install, good reputation.
