So far, I like this set. The dark brown bowl is as pictured. The scoop is functional and complete, no chips. The boxing would make this an excellent gift set. I find that storing the whisk on the refrigerator top keeps it warm and dry and prevents the mold that might otherwise occur. My other choice would be a window with full sun. I can't imagine what they could do to prevent mold other than strong chemical treatments, and I would not want to swish that around in my hot tea.The packaging is really cute. I would not hesitate in giving this as a drop shipped gift.The bowl is the same size as the last one I had, but it was lighter in color. Sometimes I think about that bowl as I drink tea from this one. The strainer works perfectly as a sifter.I did not get a sample of tea with my set. That is ok. I bought some outstanding tea from Amazon. Look for the non-organic stuff in the little round tin. So much better than the last stuff I bought.I have had three wisks in my life, and the center always comes apart ... And the whisk works better after the little knot comes apart. The stand works well to help the whisk hold its shape, and it also works for my prior whisk.

This is a wonderful set! Bought one for myself and as a gift. Love everything about it. Makes my matcha perfectly. Only, the wisk holder was blue and I'd of rather had the cream color, but that doesn't change how great the set is. Perfect size bowl as well. Worth every penny!

There’s an ugly white flower on the black bowl that’s not in the product images or description. Would have never purchased a bowl with a flower stamped on it like that, definitely not my style.

The product I recieved did not come with the matcha bowl nor sifter. It only came with the wisk, wisk holder and scooper. lame.

First Matcha tea is the greatest! It gives you energy but has no crash like coffee and it helps my immune system. This set I received was a wonderful value for the money and I have greatly enjoyed using this Matcha set in my morning ritual. Thank you!
