Quality Lap Stand!!
This is my first lap stand and I love it. It is very sturdy, functions very well and is portable. You can adjust the height easily. I like to stitch on the couch or on the bed watching Netflix and this lap stand is a dream. You can’t turn the frame 360 degrees with the knob they provide but if you switch them out with wing nuts you can turn it 360 degrees so it’s easier to work the back. If you keep the knobs you almost get to turn the frame 180 degrees. That’s not bad either I was still able to work the back of the project. This lap stand is perfect for big cross stitch projects. I also purchased the 24” scroll frame from E-Z Stitch and won’t use any other scroll frame basting system. My projects stay nice and taught and it’s easy to set up with the Velcro ends. This oak lap stand is expensive but you are paying for quality and I highly recommend it if you are tired of holding a hoop or Q snap.

Quality and American made.
First, it’s made in the United States, huge plus for me. Second, it’s well made of oak and sturdy. I can set up my needlepoint frame, from the same manufacturer, with this stand, and now can needlepoint sitting on the sofa, in bed or a table. Wonderful product. So glad I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. No regrets.

seems good out of the bag but will un-reinforced knobs last or be stripped in a short amount of time
I got this for holding a needle point frame. It looks like it would fit a wide variety of frames. Was fairly easy to assemble but the knobs are just drilled wood and after a few uses will strip out, an upgrade would be having a brass insert fitting that the screw would go in to which would make it last a long time and probably never strip out. I foresee in the future having to replace the knobs with wing nuts. The wood has some knots in it which are right on the edge of the wood making it unsightly and also potentially weaker. I am glad I bought it and would probably buy it again.

GREAT UPGRADE
I have used your scroll frames since the original company developed them (25 yrs+) Until just recently I didn’t know that just adding the leg assembly was possible. By drilling one or more holes in the original side bars you can very easily upgrade to a lapstand. (See attached picture)

Very helpful tool!
I am working on a larger piece so needed the stand and roller bars to keep the fabric held taut while I work on it. It helps me to keep the material cleaner. The wood itself is beautiful with the grain showing.

Poorly designed.
I bought this with their scroll frame. The scroll frame is fine but I didn't like the stand. I removed the frame from the legs to try something else and unscrewing the frame from the legs completely stripped the spacers that are needed to attach the frame to the legs. I wanted to keep the legs for a smaller project, but now they're unusable. And of course this happens just a few days after the return period. Don't waste your money.

Knobs strip easy. Pay way too for poor quality.
Looks nice. Knobs do not have threads in them and will strip easily. Ended up buying threaded knobs to be able to use this product. Not worth the price.
