Seller knows that these bracelets can't be adjusted without damage!!!
The problem with these bracelets is that they are cast, and not made from twisted wires like most of the historic originals were, which are flexible like a spring! The manufactorer Asgard Crafts is well aware of this, and to cover himself claims that you "must heat them up on a radiator before adjusting them"! That would mean you could only put them in the wintertime, when the heating is on, and that you can never take them off again, unless you want to put your wrists onto a hot radiator!!! This is pure insanity!!! However you can adjust them without heating very, very, very slowly and carefuly, BUT they will get out of shape! They will not keep their curvature, however careful you try to be! It is not so that alternatives are not available: On the german e-Bay site and from sellers in Poland on Etsy, you do find the real McCoys, made from twisted brass and bronze wires, which are ever so easy to put on and take off... And they are only a few quit more expensive, but they will last for many generations! To make matters worse Asgard Crafts pewter quality is not the standart you would expect at such a ,not exactly modest, price! It also appears that their products by now deserve the term "mass produced", as there are a vast amount of sellers on both sides of the Atlantic offering these supposedly handmade items! It's sad that some people can not get themselves to trade honestly and rather have satisfied returning customers, than people who buy once and then never again! Unfortunately I think the producer will never read this review, and if he does, he will most likely be indifferent to it! He most certainly has given the nice and friendly people on the lovely Isle of Skye a bad reputation! Shame on him!
