Doesn't quite taste the same as fresh berries, but still very great to have
As someone Bangladeshi, I'm a huge fan of Amla berries and have had them many times before, so I was pretty excited to try these out. And while the powder does taste good and remind me of Amla, it's missing a lot of the sweetness and some of the salty/tart notes that fresh berries have. This powder is much better suited for being mixed into shakes or skincare concoctions. That's not to say that it tastes bad by any means, but it doesn't quite encompass all the flavors that fresh berries have.As far as value and versatility goes, it's about as good as it gets. This powder seems to be pretty good quality, and certainly tastes and smells fresh to me. It mixes quite easily with water and is very convenient to incorporate into your morning green drink.

Okay
This powder has some tart flavor, which makes it go really well in fruit smoothies. I just add a scoop to my smoothie mix and it blends well into the drink. It's nice that there is no gritty texture remaining after adding to my smoothie.

Good tasting and good for you, what is not to like?
I've never tried Amla berries or powder before so when I saw this powder I decided to give it a try. I have not been disappointed so far. The flavor of the powder reminds me of tamarind, but I am sure a fresh berry tastes very different. So far I have used it in making Thai - style curry dishes and a spoonful helps add a tangy flavor in place of the fresh squeezed lime juice I normally use. It blends well with the flavor profile of the curry paste and doesn't overpower it. I haven't made any juice or mixed drink with it yet but that is coming soon so I can hopefully update the review to let you know what a juice or lemonade-style drink tastes like. I can't really tell you if the claimed health benefits are real since I can't tell if anything is actually going on since I don't feel any difference but I can say that it tastes good in the way that I prepare it with my food. So far I have to give it 5 stars for flavor, taste, and also because it is a pretty good value. The amount of powder that comes in the bag is a lot more than I can consume just mixing it in marinades for chicken and pork, or adding a spoonful to curries. I'll have to starting making drinks with it if I ever hope to finish a bag. For all of that I have to give this amla powder a really good recommendation of 5 stars!

Good flavor and texture
This Amla powder is finer and less gritty than the last one I had. It mixes well with my smoothies and adds a nice little tartness. The flavor is pretty good and the non-gritty texture is nice.

Enjoying this so far
While mixing it with water is the easiest way it’s most likely the most unpleasant way to consume this powder. I think the quickest most pleasant way is through a smoothie or juice. I’ve been needing some vitamin c in my diet and adding amla seemed like a bonus for antioxidants. The added potassium is also great. Adding a bit of powder here and there is great because it’s a higher concentration and easier to consume.

You only need a little, so this is a lot of powder
Not having tasted the Amalaki Berry, which I learned comes from India and is a type of Gooseberry, I wasn't sure what to expect. The very fine powder is a medium brown color. It has a slightly sour taste but is not offensive at all. Reading up on it, I learned that it may have many benefits and can be used internally as well as externally. I suggest if you don't know what it is but you are on a health kick, that you look it up online to see how to use it for yourself. Recipes call for just a partial spoonful, when adding it to a drink, to get the benefits. Adding it to a strawberry smoothie is the best!

I think it tastes terrible
Now, with that said, I am NOT smoothie person. I thought I'd be able to use this powder in water or mixed with cranberry juice, but it really isn't working for me. The taste is very earthy with very little flavor. Now, I gave some to my sister who IS a smoothie person, and she said she tried in one of her concoctions (ha!), and she says she can taste it a little, but she can bury it. Her smoothies often have kale, spinach and bunch of other stuff that she has on hand, so if you do the same, this might be for you.

Good quality powder and easy to use
This powder is good quality and has a decent taste. It's very easy to mix into smoothies or drinks to give a little bit of a flavor and nutrient kick. I can't really speak to whether the powder is helping me in any way but the claims are very positive and it's certainly not hurting in any way. The company seems to be of high quality and the packaging is very good.
