i'm japanese american so i've been using them most of my life. it's just that now i live in a small northern calif. town ukiah, my parents have left their bodies, i'm 81 yrs. old and it's difficult to travel, so thanks to amazon and the internet, i didn't have to go 2 hrs. to san francisco to buy one.

I have KP, and it sucks. IT happens regardless of shaving my legs, or not. Waxing, or not. Epilating, or not.But, once I use this at least on a weekly or so basis, and even then, only gently since it is quite abrasive (by design!), I am completely clear of any keratosis pilaris. It’s a freaking dermatological miracle.I recently moved and realized I had left my Salux at the prior place. Sure enough, within 1 month, my KP was back in ful force. So, I had to buy a replacement (this purchase), and my legs look good again after only a few weeks. I found this product by chance maybe 10 years ago, and it’s been wonderful ever since.Step 1: make sure you add some body wash and get it lathered up really nice. GENTLY use it to wash like you would a soaped-up loofah, and just the texture alone will do the work for you.Step 2: enjoy your sexy legs!

I just used it for the first time today. It built up a very good lather and I definitely feel clean after using it on my arms, legs and back.I bought it because I have issues with keratin buildup on my leg hair follicles, and subsequently I get hundreds of tiny ingrown hairs. I was looking for something to exfoliate them as they leave very unsightly red/purple bumps all over my legs.This was recommended to me, and after just this first use it seems to have "freed" all the hairs on my legs from the buildup. So, hopefully with repeated use, my legs will improve and won't have dark red spots on them anymore from the ingrown hairs. I will update this review with my findings.UPDATE: 5/27/19I love this bath towel. It is my new favorite scrubby for in the shower, as opposed to bath poufs, loofahs, soap sponges, etc. It exfoliates my skin, especially on my legs, without rubbing them raw but also taking off most of the dead skin and keratin buildup. My legs aren't "cured" of keratin buildup obviously, but they look a lot better, and I can get a much closer shave on them after exfoliation with this towel. I use it on my face as well, which is prone to severe scaling due to dryness (despite the frequency in which I apply facial lotion). It holds shower gel very well, works up a good lather and does exactly what I need. I will be buying more of these to use in the future. Wish I would have found this sooner!UPDATE 7/4/19After a few months of using this towel, the keratosis on my legs has been drastically reduced. Little to no more red bumps on my legs and arms! They look so much better, it's incredible. I can't believe a $5 towel helped my condition this much. I'm so happy!

These towels are WAY better than a sponge, loofah, or poof.1. They help lather up your soap really well, so you don’t need as much soap.2. They help get sweat, dirt, etc. off really well, so you feel so much cleaner than just soap alone.3. They are a bit more abrasive than a poof and help exfoliate your skin. People always say my skin is so soft.4. They are super durable and will last much longer than loofahs and poofs.5. Most importantly, they are thin and flat, so they dry super fast. Sponges, loofahs and poofs collect water and take forever to dry, so mildew builds up over time. That won’t ever happen with these towels. (Which makes them especially perfect for travel and packing in a suitcase.)I’ve been using them for a decade now and can’t imagine taking a shower without one. Some people like them long, so they can reach their backside more easily. I don’t need that extra length, so I cut them in half and get two towels!I recently bought some for my friends and they fell in love instantly.

It is the perfect amount of rough. Does the job and my skin feels softer just after first use. I feel this will be more hygienic than a loofa considering you can through it in the wash after a few uses according to the reviews I read. I am hoping that is true. We will find out after a few uses. So far I am liking the bath towel for use in the shower and hope it stands up to machine washes.

After reading Amazon reviews, I was very careful to look for a seller who sold the genuine Salux. This is replacing my Salux that is about 30 years old and is finally starting to tear. It seems to be exactly the same.It's great, because it can be as rough or gentle as you like, depending on how much pressure you use. It seems to increase the amount of foam of your soap, so a drop of soap goes a long way. There's nothing better for washing your back - much easier and has more coverage than a back brush. It dries right away. It never gets moldy or musty.
