Very easy to soak and then wear. Doesn't drip too much. Great for hot weather. Does not keep cool as long as advertised. Will keep using!

I purchased this vest before a 300+ mile bike ride in hot, humid summer heat and sun. I had overheated on that ride the summer before. The vest works as advertised. At rest stops I dunked the vest in water and put it on over my cycling jersey. When I put the vest on it didn't soak me. It just felt damp. It did make me feel noticeably cooler for sure. I wore it during the ride at one point and the coolness lasted about 1 1/2 hours while riding until the vest started to dry out. I don't recommend carrying the vest on a bike ride unless the ride is supported as it is bulky and gets heavy when wet. It would be great for those working in the heat of the day, or for support vehicles to have for those people who are starting to over heat. (sports teams, work crews) Good value for the price. If you are wondering about sizing, err on the larger side. Even if the vest is a bit large it still works.

You get 125 uses out of this vest. That’s from wet to dry & back. After moving to Sedona Arizona from Wisconsin I realized I need something to keep me cool as I’m outside often working or play. These vests work great especially when they are new. they cool well particularly with a breeze...also holds a lot of moisture longer since they are new. I get about 3 to 4 hours a good solid 3 to 4 hours of cooling. That’s with the breeze which helps dry it out but also keep you cool. Outdoor temperature around 98 to 102. One vest will last me approximately two months. This year I bought two since they were on sale,,,,very good sale I must say as well.

Like any evaporative system ..it works well until all the water that you soak into the vest dries out.. if the humidity is high it will not work as well..,, I live in the southwest where it gets over 110 in the summers and very little humidity..I use it while riding my motorcycle and under my protective mesh motorcycle jacket and the vest does make a big difference... the cooling lasts up to about 1 1/2 hours depending on the temps and humiidity... then just re-soak it to get more time!... in the winter you can wear it (dry) under you jacket as another layer... they are very thin... I do recommend the HyperKewl Cooling Vest ..they are very well made and should last may seasons of riding.

Its perfect! I love it! Only one problem; I cannot wring the water out after soaking it. My little hands are way to weak, and I don’t own a washing machine for the spin cycle. It was also so heavy I really couldn’t lift it. I had two friends come over and help wring it out, and it’s still hanging over the sink heavy with water 15 hours later. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. It’s beautiful, excellent quality, fits perfect, obviously holds the water, but I think it’s a men’s vest. I’m a 5’2”, 60 year old woman with MS and an artificial spine. I absolutely do recommend it, but I am going to have to send mine back. Darn it!

The concept is simple, wet it and it keeps you cool and that part works great. The drawback is the size and shape. The vest appears longer than it is, and I ordered the XS as a size 2/4 and it's huge. I understand some people like to wear these looser so the wind flows thru it, but I like it tighter. Keeping it because it was on sale and I really need it but have to modify the sides and will have to resew it. Didn't really want to do that . This is fine if you don't mind it shorter..waist length .

It does help you stay a little cooler without leaving you soaking wet. It's well made but I subtracted a star because it's a couple of inches short on my 6 foot frame, meaning it sits 2 inches above my waist. All else fits well.

Works pretty well in warm weather. If it's really hot out, it might last a couple hours of cooling you down. It works less and less over time as the water evaporates. First 20 minutes are amazing, then next 30 minutes its ok, then the next hour is just ok. It definitely takes the edge off. I would estimate about lowering the temp about 10 degrees, which makes a huge difference in 90 and 100+ weather.
