If you're looking for a temporary replacement cord, this one will work flawlessly. I've had it on my desk at work for 3-4 months with no problem. Even today, it works fine, but I noticed the inner wiring exposed at the connector. This is a permanent fixture on my desk and is not moved or pulled. It should not wear away like this after only ~3-4 months. The cord that came with the Surface Pro is disconnected, and travels around in my computer bag with me normally, and it is still solid with no tears/rips. The official cord is $69, but will last you a lot longer. Is it worth the savings, you decide.

I got this charger because the original one for my Surface Pro 3 had finally started to fray after 3 years of use. Although this charger works fine, it has already started to fray where the charging adapter (the part that latched onto the Surface) meets the cord. It still works, but after only 3 months of use it looks like my 3 year old charger. I'll probably just pay full price for the Microsoft brand for my next one

I received this charger on November 28 and it stopped working on the 10th of January. I had the original charger for 3 years before it stopped working. One bad thing about this is that I can't return it and get a replacement as the replacement window closed on the 29th of November. So basically no warranty! Not a happy customer.

Don't buy!! It doesn't work. I received it today and was relieved to finally have a charger. I went to plug the cable that goes from the wall into the converter box and it fell right out. It doesn't even fit. I even tried it on my original charger and it didn't fit that one either. Talk about a lack of quality control.

Bought this to replace our original charger that came with our Surface (several years old); this worked for a VERY SHORT period--when my computer stopped recognizing that the charger was plugged in, took both to local IT repair--learned this was a Chinese knock-off and not a genuine product. Would give 0 stars if possible. Buyer, beware.

Does it's job, but plastic end that connect to the surface pro 4 frayed right away, showing the wiring. Seems like no company that makes the charger can fix this problem. If anyone know of a quality charger, let me know!

My surface stopped being able to charge. The Microsoft store told me there was nothing they could do and I should replace the computer. THIS Charger ACTUALLYU FIXED IT!. It works great and fast. and was delivered right away.Thank you.

Perfect! Compared to the original microsoft charger, this is identical. Quality is just as good for a steal of price. It eveb helds up longer than the original one so far
