We breed chickens and have gone through a lot of feeders, etc. We are currently using this one for our younger cockerels and pullets. We started them using it a couple of days prior to moving them out of their brooder and into a pen. We moved it outdoors when we moved them, and it's been doing great. It's exposed to the elements, and it has been through rain and snow as well as direct sun every day. So far, it has not become brittle, etc. The lid comes off easy enough and it has a large opening for filling with food. It comes with feet to get it off the ground to the perfect height for young chickens. It holds enough feed for about 10-15 chickens for several days. We used the netting as a holder for fruits and veggies hung up in their pen. They actually love it as it always has a treat for them to peck at. It keeps them busy for a while. I have not used the nipples yet, but we already have multiple nipple drinkers and the nipples that come with this look to be as good of quality as our others. For the price, this is a great deal.

Very impressed and happy with this! It solved a problem I was having with my hens tossing all their food out on the ground. I was using a different feeder that also had the "port hole" design but they were still finding a way to toss their food out. Not with this one! It is very strongly constructed and a very functional design with a lot of helpful features and extras. I like that it has a port hole on all 4 sides and there are caps included if you want to close off one or more of them. The pointed top keeps the chickens from sitting on top of it, there's a strong handle for carrying or hanging, a chain for hanging, removeable feet. It came with some other goodies like a rope bag for hanging treats & water spouts (though I haven't tried those yet). My hens figured out the feeder instantly. They're pretty big girls and have no problem getting their chonky heads in the holes. It's easy to take the lid off to refill it and clean it. The plastic is very strong and this is a top quality unit.

So many feeders are in the market don't have legs and you have to place them on a concrete block. This one comes with 4 legs that attach very well to the bottom, making it so easy to assemble and use. That alone makes it worthwhile. It does also come with a chain if you want to hang it. The fact that it also comes with water ports (that you need to DIY drill) and a net for hanging cabbage is just icing on the cake.Besides the leg, this is a standard chicken feeder than takes only a few seconds to assemble and does a great job keeping water out of the chicken feed. I highly recommend this one though because of the legs.

These features are really thin and not made very strong. these feeders will be pecked at continuously over and over and over again by chickens. therefore they need to be made a little bit stronger. but for the price I can't say they're terrible.
